Re: ɕ & ʃ

Goster, I love those sound changes, thank you so much. I was looking for a way to make a series of them, as having /ɕ/ by itself seemed unnatural and this is perfect.

Re: ɕ & ʃ

Thanks Chagen. Can i clarify that I understand what you wrote?

So for example /si/ would become /ɕi/ and /ʃi/ becoming /ʂi/? Excuse my ignorance if that is incorrect

ɕ & ʃ

Hi guys, just a quick question. Is it possible for /ɕ/ and /ʃ/ to exist in the same phoneme inventory? My current Languages has /ʃ/ but I wanted /s/ before /e/ and /i/ to front to ɕ, with possibly /ʃ/ doing so in the same enviroment, merging them together. Would it exist as a allophone of /ʃ/ rather...

I have an idea to start a langauge spoken by a humanoid race that live underground. It's inspired by the creatures in the films Descent and Descent 2.

This is the beginning to the great epic of the Nazinaran; Uezoyoechi the mountain girl . It's about a girl who is made grotesque by spirits, she later goes on to kill young girls in revenge. The story later features the Nazinaran's cultural hero, amongst other things, Kuo-yenrìyo-mata kuo angry face...

My conworld has a Polynesian theme. The Nazinaran are lovers of the open ocean and have spread themselves over the globe living in island communities.
