Re: Caber Logograms
Do you have an image of all those characters in their non-calligraphic forms? I'm curious to see the difference between the two styles of each symbol
Re: Silvish
Did you ever do an in-depth post on the new orthography? I am stumbling across Silvish on here from time to time but the current orthography is still a mystery to me, no clue of what's going on So I'd kinda like to learn more about that

Re: ixals' scratchpad
Yeah it definitely should. I made the change from pharyngealised to ejective consonants during the writing of the post so I missed that.

Re: ixals' scratchpad
Digging this thread out again. An idea of a phonology for a conlang loosely inspired by North American langs, just to step out of my comfort zone once again, erg/abs, incorporation etc., but I'm not sure I understood the concepts a hundred percent. Phonology /m n ŋ/ <m n h> /p pʼ t tʼ k kʼ ʔ/ <p b t...

Azunite hasn't been online since the 4th of November, so I'd propose to skip him for now and I forward my torch to Acipencer? We can just put Azunite at the end of the ring in case.

Re: Večʼapruga
5.2. Moods Apart from the standard realis mood, there are also other moods in Vechaprian. The first one is the imperative, which is formed through conjugation, and the others are the optative and the potential, which are both expressed by particles put before the verb. 5.2.1. Imperative The imperat...

Re: (L&N) Q&A Thread - Quick questions go here
Very specific, but is there any reason why the Irish -ach suffix has a voiced fricative in some declined forms (-aigh) instead of the expected voiceless one? Is it just some weird irregularity or is there any reason behind it?

Re: Večʼapruga
a) For the Greek loans, it might depend on whether they are mostly "learned" loans, in which case spelling/archaic pronunciations (i.e. stops) might be more likely. If the loans are via contact with contemporary Greek speakers, then probably whatever realization (i.e. possible fricative) ...

Re: Večʼapruga
I haven't worked on Večʼapruga since the last post yet, but I've got another question I'd like to have an opinion on. And I'd still like to have some on my ablaut problem from the last post, too, please! So I've been thinking about Greek loanwords and how I should loan the aspirated stop (/fricative...

Re: Gallo-Tuscan
Isn't this problem solved by articles? Of course, only if Gallo-Tuscan uses articles before the possessive pronouns like Italian or, IIRC, it used an article after to' like all of the romlangs I know about: to' il pan (??) 'all the bread' vs. (il) tò pan 'your bread'.

Re: Večʼapruga
Note: I'm not done with verbs as a whole (I basically only did conjugation and tense), so a lot of this may change in the future, stuff gets added later on etc. Also, I'm not sure what to do with a certain thing but I've put it in a spoiler further down so if anyone could help me with that, I'd app...

Here I am, once again with a small question for my fellow German speakers. How do you pronounce the <i> in <lustige>, <ewige> etc.?

No, it's supposed to be zvulun, the IPA is wrong. That's what I get for constantly altering the example sentences while writing.

Re: Večʼapruga
4. Adjectives Compared to nouns, Vechaprian adjectives are considerably easier to understand. There are only two types of adjectives, o-class and e-class. Also, in attributive position, adjectives always precede the noun they modify. The adjectival declension has eroded heavily over time so that th...

Yes thank you! I love the look of it so far. Quite Armenian feeling but also unique. I am wondering if it is actually a "lost" IE language (or para-IE?) as I can spot several IE-looking things... Damnit! I wanted to see how long I can pull through without saying it is Indo-European. I did...

Re: Večʼapruga
Note: I exchanged <ǰ> for <ǯ> in this post only for the sake of making the example sentences look a bit cleaner. The official romanisation of /dʒ/ is still <ǰ>. 3. Nouns Nouns in Vechaprian are inflected for up to seven cases. Not all nouns are inflected for all seven of them, in fact, most nouns a...
