Also Dutch, German, and Frisian form a big dialect continuum but continuums like that are probably quite common.

Hindi and Urdu are still mutually intelligible and Bollywood movies are in an interlanguage based on their shared parent, which keeps them together. Faloch is based off of Old High German but it has its own diachronic sound changes. It's closest to Rhine Ruhr Dialects such as the Düsseldorf Accent and Western Yiddish.
