Re: Lexicon milestones and discussion of lexicon growth
Love the two-column look of the dictionary, and can't wait to see it grow! Thank you! It was quite the learning curve, but it was so worth all the trouble once I figured it out. What number was the milestone, by the way? I think I reached close to 720 words, but there are currently just over 600 wo...

Re: Lexicon milestones and discussion of lexicon growth
I reached another milestone for my lexicon and made a Lortho – English dictionary using LaTeX. It's a living document, but I am very pleased with the results. If you see something I can improve on or have questions on why I did something, please let me know. I'm always looking for ways to make anyth...

Re: Lexicon milestones
As of yesterday, Lortho has amassed 701 words.
It is truly dizzying to see languages with a lexicon of over 1,000 words—never mind anything with over 60,000! I commend all of you who have stuck through it for so long. I hope that my language can grow to tens of thousands.

Re: Lortho: An Artistic Conlang
I have delved into the world of LaTeX and I started a working Lortho -> English lexicon. In addition, there is now a PDF reference/pedagogical grammar of Lortho also using LaTeX.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve posted here due to life changing events. Since I’ve settled in, I have managed to learn some LaTeX and make a lexicon and reference/pedagogical grammar for Lortho on my website . They are still works in progress, but are complete enough for me to showcase...

What does the last symbol in lines 1, 3, & 4 mean --- the crying eye? And why is it absent from line 2? If you're after opinions, I like the aesthetic of line 2 best; and the crying eye of line 1 better than that of 3 & 4. That said, I can see, perhaps, in the others some kind of local or s...

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I've been rather busy as of late, so conlanging was put on hold for a little bit. Now that I have a little more time, I've been contemplating a vowel diacritic system for my abjad, and I am still working on an acceptable form. Here is a snapshot of what I have thus far. Dhakhsh is written in vertica...

Lortho etymological discovery The words for dusk and dawn are loan words from a previously unknown language. These are the current words: thoskara [tʰos ·ˈka·ɾa] n. neut. dusk thoskiru [tʰos ·ˈki·ɾu] n. fem. dawn They are both compound words— thos - comes from (possibly) the verb troshdem [ˈtɾɔʃ·de...

Re: The Language of Lortho and the World of Dhamashi
I just recently discovered a word I was not expecting. In fact, I have no idea how this correlates to the culture or if it belongs to a cult within. thartero [tʰaɾ ·ˈtɛɾo] v. communicate telepathically There is also an agentive noun which comes from this verb: motharteri, -u [ˌmo · tʰaɾ ·ˈtɛɾi] n. m...

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I recently discovered a new marker (prefix?) which changes the state of a tangible noun to an intangible concept.
I do not think this applies to all tangible nouns—more research is needed.

Interesting. Try this: Go to my Twitter profile and look through my tweets. You will see both Lortho and Dhakhsh entries. That should solve the issue.eldin raigmore wrote: ↑28 Jan 2019 23:32Every time I try, Twitter tells me “Something went wrong. Try again.”

@bbbourq, I also very much admire Lortho’s script. But I’m also waiting to hear/read your follow-up on your double-star double-habitable-planet two-habitable-satellites-of-a-gas-giant setup you were working on on the CWBB. I haven't focused on that in a while since I started developing my second co...

Dhadakha—Lortho's writing system—has gone over a slight overhaul. I made a simplified version which makes it much easier to read. In addition, it allowed me to make a more practical handwritten version. Script (font) samples: Original (bookish) script: https://i.imgur.com/UL8q4CNh.jpg Simplified (co...
