This Wikipedia article lists languages by gender systems. From the list of Masculine-Femine languages: Ancient Egyptian, Akkadian, Coptic, Amharic, Arabic (Kinda), Hebrew, Oromo, and Berber are not Indo-European.

Finally decided on a rough sketch of Proto-Archipelagic. But it is a night-fucking-mare to orthographize. It's got touches of Kabyle and Tlingit and I'm sure subconsciously many others.
