Analysis swap: Abaniscen
I'll be playing the part of a "lay" speaker—that is, someone who speaks the language but has no linguistic training. I'll be able to tell you how to say things in different situations, maybe give intuitive explanations of how I think about why you say something, but won't be able to give ...

Re: Random ideas: Morphosyntax
How about crossing marked nominative alignment with split ergativity? Let's say the split is based on animacy. Animate subjects and inanimate objects of transitive verbs would be marked with the direct (?) case. Wece-sung tuba-sung diku. woman-DIR stone-DIR admire. The woman admires the stone. Both...

I made a new language.
Cansō sarumic ṭꙋmin ṣune ḷāyintāxitur or penꙋx, lame ḷāy or carī "Tiyꙋns".
It's been a while since I last made one, not counting my Tyuns conlang.

Re: Arayaz's thread so that she doesn't flood the forum
I'm more of a perfectionist or whatever that's called in Khemehekis's typology. I scrapped Abaniscen multiple times and remade it, and the only thing the versions have in common is a single syntactical feature. And doing that actually helped me make "better" conlangs later. So maybe it's ...

elemtilas has returned! I must say I love your worldbuilding and writing. Reminds me of Pratchett and also Le Guin at the same time.

I'm in a bit of a dilemma right now. I realized that Ruykkarraber's name is invalid ─ it should be Ruykkarrasber. Maybe its an exonym - what their neighbors call the language and its speakers...and-or, its a name for archiving purposes, rather than the name it'll have in whatever material gets publ...

Du iu laik mai iqlish ortograthi riform? (ies, ai nou dhat it luks nubish, buht it is thiqkyd ouvyr uel) Minor nitpicks: Why is /f/ spelled <th> in <ortograthi>? Also, the two <o>s in the word orthography are different vowels, NORTH and LOT . Thinked is an unusual form, maybe you meant to use thoug...

I solidified stuff for ŋAħual, such as the name. The full ŋAħual series is currently as follows: ŋAħual Phonology and Morphology ŋAħual Noun Class Sketch ŋAħual Actual Noun Classes Tense in ŋAħual ŋAħual Lexicon Cool stuff! Though the new name looks a little similar to Nahuatl...

Re: Weird Dream Thread
I used to have a lot of recurring nightmares when I was about 7-8. In the one I remember the best I am a climber in the Himalayas. I am climbing to some sort of shelter on the mountain ridge through deep snow and dangerous passages, and when I finally get there, the door is closed and my hand gets f...

Re: Lexicon milestones and discussion of lexicon growth
Interesting. Are interspecies relationships uniformly accepted in the Lehola Galaxy, or are there some cultures where they're frowned upon, or forbidden?
Also, congrats in hitting your milestone! I can't imagine hitting 2000 words, let alone tens of thousands. Your work is really impressive.
