Re: Lexicon milestones

1,485 words is pretty good! And it's going to grow, fer sher . A lot of conlangs are missing "louse", so if you haven't done the Swadesh List yet it's likely you don't have that one. As for FeNeKeRe, it says there are 25,234 root words, so I put it on my list as a 25,234-word language. It...

Ercunich language [Celtic conlang]

This is probably the project I've worked on the most, but I'm still not 100 percent certain on a lot of things, like sound changes, heimat of the conlang's speakers and lots of other things. There are a lot of similarities with Old Irish, in my opinion, but there isn't a system of initial consonant ...

Re: Lexicon milestones

Ercunich, my Celtic conlang has about 1485 words so far. (just the nominative singular of nouns and present active 3rd person of verbs, but still that's quite a lot of words for just a couple of months work on it) Currently, I'm not really adding more words, but I'm correcting pronunciations and add...

Re: Weird Dream Thread

The girl was not an acquaintance, my dreams rarely detail people I don't know that clearly, but she was short, with maybe wavy black hair. Maybe she looked a bit like the Hex Maniac class of trainers from Pokémon X and Y. I don't know if she was possessed or just evil. I went with possessed when I w...

I love the sound of this conlang, and its orthography. The examples are really euphonious, and they seem to fit the meaning of the words.

Re: Weird Dream Thread

Can't get into details (I've forgotten the fine details), but my dream last night was some kind of ungodly mixture of SimCity, Minecraft, a Breakfast Club remake film, a snakelike monster that buried itself into the earth and upon defeat left behind treasures, a girl who was possessed with demons, a...

Re: Random phonology/phonemic inventory thread

I enjoy the pre-nasalized voiced plosives in lieu of a regular series. It seems like a phonology one would find in Oceania. I'm also a fan of /ⁿz/. Proto-Takayo (working name) wholly borrowed them from Old Japanese' pre-nasalized consonant series. Vowels in Old Japanese were confusing, and I made u...

Re: What did you accomplish today?

New conlang with Old Japanese-esque phonology with polysynthesis and eventually noun-incorporation (which I haven't worked on yet). Sample sentence that I worked on to figure out verbs: Senuridikature ti ma renukagodawe ipe. [senuriⁿdikature ti ma renukaᵑgoⁿdawe ipe] se-nu-ri- di-katu-re ti ma re-nu...

Re: Tugen Luliti (Lilithian) scratchpad

Can't see any reason a tripartite alignment shouldn't work. If you use the last vowel of a noun to mark case like Classical Arabic and Babylonian did you've got enough vowels there to have a good few cases. A few cases, and with vowel paradigms, I have room for aspects, tense, mood, and whatever el...
