The Kron would be not very surprised at all. They have invented Nuclear Weapons, but they rarely use them.

The Paz would see them as some kind of extremely power magical spell until told otherwise.

The Sunago, Gskcar, Föro, Cryset, and Irdgard would flip the hell out, as they suffered heavy casualties from Kron's nuclear armament during Revelations (they pretty much forced the Kron to stop using them after the war).

They might liken it to communing with spirits, assuming a large enough keyboard was available and the user was a Matriarch, thus able to read.
As some spirits are dishonest for their own ends, they might be less trusting of information found on it than many users are today.

The Alife would find it ridiculous, due to their emphasis on independence and thick-skinned-ness. They might say: Who cares what people say about minorities? Its their buisness! That is unless it is insulting towards plants or animals. To that they might challenge the insulter to a duel, as they worship them.

Interesting question... Technologically they're only moving into the iron age by virtue of trade (completely skipping the copper and bronze ages) so their music is much more focused on percussion and woodwind instruments with slower tempos and an obvious rhythm. To this end, they may appreciate breakdowns or the skill associated with blasting or certain beat patterns (though they would wonder how anyone could dance to such high tempos), and as their hearing range extends into the bass range much further than humans', they might appreciate the idea of down-tuning... I think, however, that the overall timbre of the guitars and effects would so far away from what they are used to hearing that the likes of Deicide would probably would be less popular in their camps than at X-Factor.

For the Essun this question is complex: Transgenders are accepted in Essun society, however transgenders have to go through their own separate set of initiation rites. Doing tasks or acting in roles that you haven't been properly initiated into is punishable by death.

Hmm, I was actually thinking about this earlier this week.

The Inyauk are very much the kind of people who are okay with showing sexuality but they would never talk about it. The Amjati on the other hand are happy to talk about it but would be very embarrassed to show it.

So Inyak would probably watch some of it, depending on their mood I guess. Whereas an Amjat would probably stay away just in case anyone saw them looking. The Amjat would then tell everyone that the person whose computer they saw said porn on was a complete deviant.

How would a typical conperson react to impressionist art?

Midh are obligate carnivores, and their digestive tracts can't handle plants: If someone announced they were never going to eat meat again, they'd probably interpret it as the person trying to commit suicide by starving themselves and respond accordingly.

The Aidisese consider double headed eagles the greatest animals ever. They also like eagles, horses, and cows. The Northern Aidisese like wolves, even though they try to kill them when the wolves hunt their sheep. On the other hand, snakes are hated, because snakes are the symbol of one of Aidis' old rivals, Besera; although Aidis later became allied enough with Besera, the stigma against snakes remained.




Your average Keintapan would wonder if 1) it was approved by the government, and 2) if it was poison sent by the Keintapan secret police.

Rassoleans would be a bit mixed; Mainlanders and especially Vasonians would probly think it justified, weeding out dangerous mass killers; Islanders would think it ridiculous to harass so many innocent people, and wasting their time hunting down idiots who only kill other people by taking their own life as well; better to let them get rid of themselves and clean up after rather than spend so much effort trying to stop them by annoying so many others.

Mainlanders would think Americans in the right and to have strong character, sacrificing so much to try and keep their people safe; Islanders would think them paranoid, cruel and stupid, having caused it themselves and all.

Both Mainlanders and Islanders would think the terrorists cowardly and foolish, only making their attacks on civilians, but many Islanders would still think it warranted, since the terrorists are only responding in kind.



Ankuati would just hear the name and crack up laughing. "War on Terror?! LMAO". After hearing the facts, they would think both sides morons and recommend their leaders kill themselves out of shame.

My favourite sport would be rugby. My conpeople would despise the game as their poor eyesight would making passing or kicking the ball very difficult indeed. They would be superlative players in scrums or for breaking tackles though, and their height would make them useful in line-outs or for charging down a ball (if they could see it coming).

Depending on how realistic the graphics are, Essun would be terrified of them. An Essun would probably think of a game like Call of Duty as a device for possessing a real soldier and making them run around murdering real people. More abstract games like Tetris though they may be more willing to accept.



Both Midh and Essun would be curious as to why it even exists, Midh moreso. Why would you want to pay to provide for someone outside of your clan? And even supposing you did, why can't you just give them the money yourself?
