I could do some stuff for Navajo, but I'd need some help for grammar stuff, if anyone else is familiar with the language.mich2000 wrote:It would be awesome if someone made lessons for:

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
Hey guys, I found several more resources for Navajo, so if anyone still wants some Navajo lessons I'd be happy to write something up.

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
I happen to have had a lecture on that just this semester. As I'm in my vorlesungsfreie Zeit now, I think (because I don't have enough open projects ...) I'll tackle this one!Ossicone wrote:I'd like to see some more general lessons like:

Correct.eldin raigmore wrote: Semester break?
vor-les-ungs-frei-e Zeit
front-read-N-free-ADJ.F time
"time free from lectures"
Vorlesung somehow never has anything to do with vorlesen which is reading aloud (vor- probably indicating the in-front-of-people-thing).

My Guide to Sound Changes
Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
I wondered whether a short & stepwise beginner's guide to glossing may be helpful. Because I see some folks struggling with those and I myself found the Leipzig Glossing Rules not to be written in a very accessible way.
If there's demand for that, I'll be happy to procrastinate a little on my sound change guide and jump onto this one .

Re: Lesson/Guide Requests
I think a glossing tutorial would be super helpful.
So helpful, in fact, that a half-finished glossing tutorial has been sitting in my drafts folder for about six months.

Ah, that's what I get for not going back through previous pages before responding.
Anyway, I could write up a quick guide in 10 minutes or so. I'll start it right now.

I'd like to have some Georgian lessons.

No matter how hard I try, I can't pronounce voiceless nasals and lateral approximants (m, n, l). Input on the subject would be much appreciated.

So, you breathe through your mouth all the time? And otherwise only hum?
Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.

Basic Japanese. I have a Japanese exchange student coming in this year, so I would like to be able to converse somewhat with her in Japanese.
Edit: I should say "my school has..." since I'm a student.
