I think a glossing tutorial would be super helpful.

So helpful, in fact, that a half-finished glossing tutorial has been sitting in my drafts folder for about six months.

Because I see some folks struggling with those and I myself found the Leipzig Glossing Rules not to be written in a very accessible way.

Ah, that's what I get for not going back through previous pages before responding.

Anyway, I could write up a quick guide in 10 minutes or so. I'll start it right now.

No matter how hard I try, I can't pronounce voiceless nasals and lateral approximants (m, n, l). Input on the subject would be much appreciated.

So, you breathe through your mouth all the time? And otherwise only hum?

Basic Japanese. I have a Japanese exchange student coming in this year, so I would like to be able to converse somewhat with her in Japanese.

Edit: I should say "my school has..." since I'm a student.

You could just visit Atlanta, or Augusta, and walk around a while.

I’m not sure if these would be considered lessons, but does anyone have or know of a series of sentences that could be used to as a check for language conventions in a language?

For example, a list of sentences from simple to more complex that you could translate (from English)
1) I am
2) I am a man
3) I am a man in the United states
4) I am a man in the united States but I come from France
5) Etc…

So the further down the list you can translate, shows the conventions you have worked out. They wouldn’t need to all be an expansion of the same sentences, just so long as they kept getting progressively more complex.

There's always this.

Can anyone help me learn Hungarian? Even if it's as simple as help with translations.

Unfortunately, I can't.

Is anyone interested in some Croatian lessons? I can make two sets of them: a basic one and an advanced one.

Yes, please. I'm learning some since I know a friend speaking it. (Well... Serbian.)

Okay. The lessons should start today, if I find some time, or tomorrow.

I know a little, but I haven't practiced it in quite a while. I'm at least familiar with how the grammar should work.
