Hi hello hi
Can everybody please suggest a good translation app on mobile phone? I use HTC, an Android.
I'm currently using dict.cc but I can only get the portable one because the full version is too big to download and...I don't know, some errors happened that it became very limited. I usually have ideas coming up when I'm on the street so I'd like an app to have quick and thorough translation and then take some notes.
Any help would be much appreciated, thanks!!

I'm not really sure why you need dict.cc for conlanging? Without understanding what you're trying to achieve, it's hard to help, you know.

Ah I usually arrange alphabet and words in different ways but I still want it to at least have some meaning and can be predicted from English... So a translation app would be helpful for me.
It's hard to explain as well, sorry but I really hope you catch what I mean

It sounds like you want to do something with your conlang and the dict.cc app together, but this is impossible. The dict.cc app only supports a number of specific (European!) languages English, German, Albanian, Bosnian, Bulgarian, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, Esperanto, Finnish, French, Greek, Hungarian, Icelandic, Italian, Latin, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovak, Spanish, Swedish, and Turkish.
If you want to use an app with which you could create a dictionary you can carry in your phone offline... well, such an app probably doesn't really exist yet. There's a couple apps on the Android Play Store that say they can do this, but one of them has very annoying ads (video ads you can't skip), and the other doesn't seem to work well at all (besides having ads too). It's a cool idea though, maybe I should get around making an ad-free app.

Happy new year everyone!
Thank you for answering my thread I had a long vacation and hardly touch my computer. However, over Christmas I read an article about different translation app that can help me instead of dict.cc: https://www.1and1.co.uk/digitalguide/on ... d-and-ios/
Might help you guys as well
