Re: Other Creativity
This is the result of two things coming together - my recent downloading of GIMP, and the impending AP tests this May.
The text is simply the text of the original logo recolored; I modified the acorn icon a bit with a paintbrush tool to get the new icon, and I found an image of fire that I liked with a Google Images search. (Which I hope isn't plagiarism. I suppose that since I'm not making money off of it...?)

Edit: Replaced the fire image in the background with homemade fire.

Well, it could be copyright theft, but the fact that you're not making money from it might swing that to fair-use (probably best just to check if it's under a CC licence or something though), but it's only plagiarism if you present it as your own work, which you haven't done.AureusFulgens wrote:The text is simply the text of the original logo recolored; I modified the acorn icon a bit with a paintbrush tool to get the new icon, and I found an image of fire that I liked with a Google Images search. Thanks. But it certainly helps that I use a tablet to draw on the computer and not a mouse.Khemehekis wrote:Great Uskra picture, Ossicone! You're a really great drawer (with mouse as much as pen/pencil/marker)!

Is that a loincloth this fisherwoman is wearing?
If so, it's funny. Red is the most prominent color for loincloths on Tirga, too.

Looking at the wiki it seems to be more of a breechcloth. But it is longer than the examples given. Her's would go down past the knees.

Looks like I'm going to have to find a dropbox alternative if it won't even show pictures in imgs tags anymore.

Re: Other Creativity
After considering this some I decided to go back into GIMP and replace the stolen fire with some fire I made myself, made using the Color Gradient and Smudge tools. It's been edited into my earlier post. I am Prometheus no longer!Ànradh wrote:Well, it could be copyright theft, but the fact that you're not making money from it might swing that to fair-use (probably best just to check if it's under a CC licence or something though), but it's only plagiarism if you present it as your own work, which you haven't done.AureusFulgens wrote:The text is simply the text of the original logo recolored; I modified the acorn icon a bit with a paintbrush tool to get the new icon, and I found an image of fire that I liked with a Google Images search. Stuff. And stuff.
And I'll dance with you in Vienna,
I'll be wearing a river's disguise;
The hyacinth wild on my shoulder,
My mouth on the dew of your thigh...

Does the "VOLGAR" mean Mushu Dragon is a Bulgar from Bulgaria or a Uighur from Uighuristan or what?

Re: Other Creativity
Hvala. And not quite... Volgar is one of the eighteen regions (Telèmor rejiõ, pl. rejione) of the Telèmor Federation, and I decided to have each page in the passport be decorated with a map highlighting the region and displaying the emblem/coat of arms as appropriate. Here's an example of an unused page highlighting some different regions:eldin raigmore wrote:Very impressive!vampireshark wrote:http://fc03.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2014/ ... 7d38ys.png

The only things I draw that I don't want to burn immediately after I draw them are penguins. They aren't realistic, but I like the way they look. I once filled up a page with drawings of penguins doing different things. The ones that said something spoke in Russian, with little speech bubbles above them. I looked it over, and it seems my Cyrillic handwriting doesn't look like an earthquake is occurring as I write anymore. As much as I'd like to show the paper here, I lost it in a drawer somewhere and I forgot which one I put it in. I'll look for it tomorrow and take a photo of it.
I also drew a flag. Using marker instead of a brush or even colored pencils ruined it. I might remake it, since it's not complicated to the point where I want to throw the brush at the wall.
I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing.
