I love eating seafood, but I prefer oily fish over white fish.

I like seafood, too. The only difficulty I have is practical.

If there's a special way to eat a dish, like lobster, I concentrate on that and forget to enjoy the food.

I like all seafood but I'm allergic to fish
Encore du calamar pour moi, je suppose
More squid for me I guess

As for me, I love grouper, haddock, bluefish, monkfish, salmon, ...eveything!
...except coral and sea cucumber.
Sometimes, shrimp give me hives.
Imaginez les fruits des mers mesozoïques!
Just imagine the seafood from Mesozoic seas!

Mesozoic vegetables...erm... that's another story altogether.

So vegetarianu. No manigo alimentu de mare.
I'm vegetarian. I don't eat seafood.
I'm kind of backlating Italian into Sardinian, so if the Italian translation equivalent is wrong, then it's pretty likely the Sardinian one is wrong too.

"Ojalá" significa "hopefully", no significa "I wish".

"Ojalá" means "hopefully", It doesn't mean "I wish". "Espero que" probably is better in this situation. Also, I would say "tenga" instead of "pudiera encontrar" if I were you.
I probably made a truckload of grammatical errors.

(ポルトガル語に基づいて正しくなる)qwed117 wrote:"Ojalá" significa "hopefully", no significa "I wish". The appropriate form of 'estar' should be used instead. I can't conjugate irregular verbs because i don't speak Spanish. (I correct stuff based on Portuguese)

If one were gonna keep the Ojalá, I'd do it like this:
Ojalá que (yo) encuentre un diccionario....
or mebbe
Ojalá que (yo) pueda encontrar un diccionario....
On the other hand, one might just say:
Quisiera encontrar un diccionario....
Which doesn't mean the same exact thing, but it comes close, IMHO.
Just in case, What do you think about the Bosworth and Toller online? No likey?

Ahh, gracias. Entiendo ahora.Lambuzhao wrote: Por supuesto.
No prob.
'The nostrils' is a colloquial expression {from what I've heard} for saying "the sense of smell".
Ejemplo:
bajo las narices = al usar el olfato
under (my) nostrils = using (my) sense of smell
** This can also mean "under the surveillance of (...)", "under the thumb of (...)"
Otro ejemplo-
Estoy siempre bajo las narices del gerente - I'm always under the boss' thumb.
The nostrils of the bloodhound are best = the sense of smell of the bloodhound is best.
There's another, more colloquial use as well
Otro ejemplo-
Estoy siempre bajo las narices del gerente - I'm always under the boss' thumb.
They use it in "per: ; mebbe it could be used like that only there(?)
Ahh, thank you. I understand now.
Estoy de acuerdo que "aguantar" suena mejor.Lambuzhao wrote: tolerar certainly could work in that sentence. Or maybe even soportar. But aguantar leapt out of my brain when I read your sentence.
Aguantar is also used to mean 'buck up' or 'man up' or 'deal with it' in general-
¡Aguántalo! 'Buck up!' 'Man up!' 'Deal with it!'
I agree that "aguantar" sounds better.

Kürzlich habe ich Lachs gegessen. Ihn habe ich nicht schrecklich gefunden.
Recently I had some salmon. I didn't think it was awful.

Formidable!
Awesome! Now, my son and I are eating pizza and sweet cherries.
Well, he's the one eating some pizza, and I'm the one eating some cherries.
Le saumon, ça peut le faire.
Salmon... I could go for that.
