nice drawing!
I prefer to not be referred to with masculine pronouns and nouns such as “he/him/his”.

Do you mean she is four feet tall?fruityloops wrote: ↑13 Jul 2018 04:53 https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/ ... rpho-1.png
Nymph (four footed butterfly) shaman in training.
Or that, in addition to four (I assume?) wings and two hands, she has four feet?
You didn’t draw enough of her from the hips down to be certain, but it doesn’t look like she has the hips for four legs.
So I’m guessing you meant her height is about 121.9 cm.
Have I guessed right?
Anyway; she looks nice!

OMG MONEY
And I'll dance with you in Vienna,
I'll be wearing a river's disguise;
The hyacinth wild on my shoulder,
My mouth on the dew of your thigh...
Looking for subjects to appear on banknotes. Inquire within.

Thanks! I did not know that!
(BTW <thrid> is a very old-fashioned spelling.)

Considering Fruityloops also wrote "butterifles" and "transaltes", I'm pretty sure it was probably just another transposal.

Re: Other Creativity
Like Khemehekis says, it was accompanied by other obvious errors, so I sure fruityloops didn’t do it on purpose.
But, still, the /r/ has moved in English in some words.
“Horse” used to be “hros”; so we have the name “Ross” and it’s no longer obvious it has anything to do with horses.
“Third” used to be “thrid”, which is much more obviously related to “three”.
And “bird” used to be “brid”.

In Town Speech-Plattdytch, the word for "horse" is pronounced /ɹɔs/ and is a cognate of English horse.eldin raigmore wrote: ↑31 Aug 2018 06:11 “Horse” used to be “hros”; so we have the name “Ross” and it’s no longer obvious it has anything to do with horses.

Re: Other Creativity
Really? I always thought Ross came from the Scottish surname Ross, which in turn came from a word meaning "red" (cognate with Italian Rosso and Russo).

According to Wiktionary, the name "Ross" comes from a Scottish Gaelic word meaning "headland".
The user formerly known as "shimobaatar".

Re: Other Creativity
I wrote a new song for The Bittersweet Generation for the first time since 2009!
"Zymurgy"
by James Landau (C) 2018
TRINA
I’ll pour some beer for Melanie, pour some beer for Bryce
At 20, Japanese kids could have a beer on ice
Or they could ferment a sake from saka mai rice
Steam that rice, baby
In Paris and across France, parents give their children wine
With their dinner of baguettes, starting when they’re 8 or 9
And the kids, or most of them at least, turn out fine
Crush those grapes, baby
Fill your gastric holes up with tumblers or snifters
Fill your souls up with brewed-up spirit-lifters
A Mass for the masses, and wine for the clergy
Raise your glasses to oenology . . . and zymurgy
At Oxford, English students may ask for cakes and ale
They may have it during test time, and it doesn’t make them fail
They can drink it in the uni, and they will not go to gaol
Kiln those hops, baby
Jewish boys get real wine as soon as they’re 13
When they’ve gotten their bar mitzvahs, onto Seder wine they’re weaned
It’s as all-Israeli as challah bread and beans
Brew that yeast, baby
Fill your gastric holes up with tumblers or snifters
Fill your souls up with brewed-up spirit-lifters
A Mass for the masses, and wine for the clergy
Raise your glasses to oenology . . . and zymurgy
Dreamy Inca girls chewed corn so all those Inca boys
Could have the mash they spat out with a noise that annoys
If you think to spit’s not ladylike, just see them, they weren’t coy
Chew that maize, baby
Liesl Von Trapp tried to stay to taste her first champagne
Offered food and wine by eager young lads all in vain
In Austria, they drink at 16, suffrage has been gained
Let it fizz, baby
Fill your gastric holes up with tumblers or snifters
Fill your souls up with brewed-up spirit-lifters
A Mass for the masses, and wine for the clergy
Raise your glasses to oenology . . . and zymurgy

Re: Other Creativity
Games count as creativity, right? I'm making a turn-based strategy game about global warming. We haven't done a lot of worldbuilding yet, so unfortunately I haven't been able to flex my conworlding muscles in that respect. The vibe is a bit alt-history "what if World War 1 lasted through to today", as it contains trench warfare and zeppelins, but also machine guns and hopefully soon nuclear weapons. It is still very much a wargame, but there is an underlying theme baked into all of the mechanics where collateral damage destroys trees and buildings and relying on industry for economical benefits results in extreme weather effects later in the game, like Bonedrought -- just realized that's a neologism I came up with, so I guess that's a bit of conlanging after all -- on desert tiles or Firestorm in the summer:
I'm doing the art and a lot of the programming. It's currently on Kickstarter, if you wanna help out.

Thanks! At the moment, no, it's for Windows, Mac and Linux. We also have plans for mobile, but we just don't have the time/money for that as of yet.
