This is why I said it would be awkward, with David and Will saying things like "Your lexicon is your language". Trust me, this was recorded long before the whole Arka situation blew up.

I'm so excited to have been featured in the feedback section! [:D] Thanks, George et al. I hope to have a rough draft of a language without nouns or adpositions in a month or so.

Why do they call them "Loan Words", when the "borrowing" language has no intention of giving them back?

When was the last time some one gave you back anything after they asked you if they could loan it?

Frequently, usually money. (Though my best mate and I have given up keeping track of who owes who what over the years.)

Lucky! Most people I know don't usually hold their end of the bargain, but then again I just wait for people to forget my tab.

I think they're called loanwords because they aren't guaranteed to stay in the lexicon permanently.

Have I or any of my works been mentioned in the podcast yet? Just curious.

I am free to do segments if you need me.

No word is is guaranteed to stay in the lexicon permanently. You guys are really overthinking this. Borrowing a word is like pirating music -- you get something for free, but no one else really loses the item. Also, the OED says it's a calque of the German word 'lehnwort'.
