Have you ever written a book in your conlang?
Perhaps "for sale" in your conworld - or just for fun?

If you have then you can post it here and, if you can, link to a PDF or some other readable file [:)]

I am currently working on a book in Ejnoq.
I have no idea what it is about but... a book is a book right?

I've started on a book that uses (or will use) my conlangs in small parts, but the narrative's in English.
I'm not sure I see the point in a whole book written in one's conlang other than as a personal challenge though.

Sounds good.

I agree...in a sense. I am *sort of* doing it for a personal challenge but I may incorporate it into my conworld at some point in some way for... sh*ts and giggles.

On reflection, I must admit, there is some appeal to excerpts of 'meta-literature' appearing in a book (though, again, I doubt I'd have the patience to translate a full one!).
Good luck to you; I imagine it would be a looooooot of work. :P

Heh, I suppose.
I guess I'd better get working...

Possibly later...

Or tomorrow perhaps?

Wow. I really am a procrastinator O_O

You can write a book about a book.

I could do something with "The man and the mouse". Maybe an illustrated pdf. When I have time...

Well, if I would make a book in my conscript...

It would be a book with the herbal, astronomical, biological, cosmological and pharmaceutical sections. :Ð

Heheh. I think everyone should write a book in their conlang/script and then compare...

Yes, that is *exactly* what I meant. Nice script, anyways.

No idea who Loreen is, but ":Đ" is just a laughing guy without a tooth.

Maybe I will make something in Qabr next days and put here...

If you look in the picture in the spoiler, it is Loreen with a stripe painted over her mouth.
Hence the :Ð lookalike [:P]

Swedish singer who won Eurovision 2012 for Sweden.

Hence why Eurovision 2013 is in Malmö... which is in Sweden...

I would like to point out, as I try to point out every time somebody posts something of the form "I can't see the point in [doing X]", that you are posting on a forum for people who like making up languages.

Meh... I probably would attempt to defend my position if I hadn't already changed my mind on it. :P

Reading this thread I came to think of how much I enjoyed the fact that good Old Morrowind had books. There were by no means enxtensive, often only very short outlines, but they sufficed to make the respective world a good tad more believable.

Maybe you should not aim as high as "write a whole book", but more than having a little outline of 3 to 20 pages or so. So you can get the "book feel".
