@Ahzoh:
I like the way this looks.
Is there any way you can show it actually carved on seal-bone? Or any kind of bone?
Or show yourself carving it on some kind of imitation bone or bone-substitute?

Or is it meant to be carved?

Made two more letters and yet another meaningless inscription, this time in it's true vertical form, right towards left:

Look at all those loops.

I can't get a hold of bones or any needle or pick tool.

I'm a fan of the letterforms that are second and also sixth (in the row of shapes on the rightmost side)!

Finding some sort of metal object to engrave won't be hard at all... i mean, Home Depot should have you covered SOMEwhere in the store. Heck, Wal-Mart might even have some kind of implement. As for the bones, well, that part is somewhat harder, but you may be able to find some antler or something at a pet store... which should behave similarly.

I realized the sixth looks very similar to Syriac Taw:

I think my conscript would look similar to Estrangela--with the rounded ends instead of the blunt ends they have now. I'm also thinking of making the letterforms thinner, by about 30%, but that's difficult to do so maybe not.

This writing system has served as an excercise in my ability to create curves and angles but it will be a long time coming before I can do fancy thick final strokes and serif-y things.

(what XXXVII said, and)
Ask your local butcher-shop how to get hold of the shoulder-blades of some meat ungulate; bovine, ovine, caprine, equine (if you live in the right place), or porcine.
(Or whatever).
If none of them have any of those, maybe they nevertheless know where you can get some.
(Pelvises might work too; or maybe skulls?)

Ahzoh wrote: 28 Dec 2017 04:13 .... or any needle or pick tool.
Find out what kinds of knives etc. old-time whaling-vessel (and other) sailors used to make scrimshaw and/or netsuke etc.
You could probably find a cheap but serviceable modern equivalent at Five Below, or even Dollar General or Family Dollar or the Dollar Store.
Or if there aren't any of those where you live, your area probably has a local equivalent.

I have a Gerber "Dime" multi-tool in my pocket; it has a pick, and a few other blades that (in my guesstimation) would probably work.
A "Swiss Army Knife" would be both bigger and more expensive, but would probably have even more blades that were suitable.

Or just get a wood-working (or stone-working?) awl or chisel.

For proof-of-concept it doesn't have to be pretty or easy; it just has to be legible.
You can make it perfect later.

I got an antler, but I got no awl or chisel. I got a utility knife. Hard to carve into it though, but it could be the blade is a bit dull. Or perhaps antlers are a shit material to work with.
It cannot be done. I do not have and cannot get the tool that can do this well enough.

If your conspeakers aren't human, or if they aren't on Earth, or if there's some ET species on Earth to take the place of seals, you could go ahead anyway.
Otherwise this may be a reason to revise your ambitions for this script.

They could make their carving-tool or scribing-tool out of a high-entropy alloy, such as certain equiatomic quinary alloys; for all anyone knows, those might be a lot sharper and harder.
But if there's a requirement to be able to write this script with low tech, I guess that's not in the cards.

If the Chinese can write their script on the plastrons of turtles and the scapulae of ungulates, with curves abound, there is no reason a culture of whalers can't have a running script on the bones of various marine mammals and marine ivory.

I simply just suck and lack the right tools.

What would happen if China had colonized Persia.
This rocks. Is it Hanzi for roots and Perso-Arabic for affixes, like the Japanese use Kanji and Kana? At any rate, it looks stunningly beautiful; it is amazing how well these two utterly different scripts play together!

Which version looks better? The one on the right is more rounded which I did simply by turning the end endpoints into off-curves.

I think I like the left one better, but they're both good. The right one looks more handwritten to me, but I'd prefer the left one in print.

I'm a fan of the one on the right, as I prefer the more stylized versions of scripts, generally. However, it looks like both of them have a few semi-transparent artefacts where two letterforms are supposed to connect but don't quite. You may want to make sure that the ends of your letters don't have semi transparent elements that are meant to be more sharp demarcations.
