Spoiler:
No, that would be a deliciously subtle contrast, but Silvish doesn't have that. I used to transcribe it with /o̯/, which was probably some overly narrow transcription on my part, but the sound changes that justified that representation have been dropped, so I plan to use /w/ instead.

I corrected my last few posts and added IPA, so you can see what I'm thinking about. It's Frenchier than before.

Spoiler:
I can see the reasoning behind both choices. At first, I thought a sound-changed version could make more sense if we imagined Silvish and Cissian were in the same universe, but European languages regularly use learned terms for each other. If it affects your decision any, the endonym for Silvish is silvê /siˈveː/.

Spoiler:
I mean, the language has no /l/ nor does it have any sibilants. As such, I was unsure what to choose to make the sounds that would get us close to Silvish. Also, can I say I like the idiom I coined for "transliterate": to write along two eyes. I came up with it under the idea that one "eye" would be looking at the target language while the other looks at the source. I dunno, I think it's cool.

Also, can I just say that it is rather liberating to just write in a conlang and make stuff up as one goes along? I'm not worrying about continuity so much as I am about making the current project as correct as I can. Also also, I had to coin like 7 new words and characters for this. Now, I just need to rename all my pages and categories on the wiki as well as updating my Lexicon and character lists... Sheesh.
