As I have just figured out the noun inflection, let's show it off for this word:

NOM kethàa

- 1. used as a light verb with verbs of feeling; 2. used as a content word: "to experience, to believe"; 3. used as a standalone verb taking a noun describing a feeling as its direct object: "to feel"

I like the look of these. [:D]

I’m in the mood for coining words at the moment so I’m going to join this thread temporarily.

Thank you! I had to add the allophony /o/ > [ø] before palatals to be satisfied with those.

twekhí·reku n.anim.* cockroach

*The ending -u would suggest this noun is animate. I haven’t decided whether insects are actually considered animate in Núta, but if they are not, the word-final -u might simply be a part of the stem.

Thanks to Znex for inspiring the word form, and a little sniff to the cockroach I accidentally killed this morning when I wiped my hands on the dish cloth it was hiding in.

Let's have some fun with this one.
Spoiler:
The changes in the word go like this: /ɸaʂra/ "to attack" > /hahra/+back harmony "to fight" > /haara/+back harmony + making preceding vowel checked "to wage war".
haara intransitive verb "to wage war". This stem triggers back vowel harmony on affixes, and makes a preceding vowel checked.
kạxxaara [kəχːaːɾa] noun of class 4 army
Spoiler:
From underlying *key-hahra+back_harmony > kạȝ-haara > kạxxaara
mâhaara noun of class 1 soldier
ṿṿôhaara [vˤːohaːɾa] noun of class 12 battlefield
Spoiler:
From underlying *ivo-hahra+back_harmony > ɯ̯vo-haara > ṿṿôhaara
I forgot to mention that my word for bird was inspired by the Nuta word for it. Thanks Des!

íwı·wėhsa n.inan. wind

Inspired by Gestaltist’s entry above, the stem of this noun contains a reduplication of the Proto-Núta root *miixəs - to blow.
