Equivalent of Proto-Indo-European language - speedlang contest

Post by Artaxes »

Hi,

I am announcing a contest for an equivalent of the Proto-Indo-European language !

Time: as many as needed for individual members of the contest.
Finished works, please send me in a private message. In certain time, the results will be published on the forum.

I am asking for participation in the contest.
Edit: It should be your vision of a language in place of Proto-Indo-European, who will takes its place.

Could you tell us more about what you have planned? I don't know what you mean by "a contest for an equivalent of…".

So are you asking us re-reconstruct PIE?
Or do you mean an alternate universe 4000 years ago where there was another language instead of PIE which conquered the world?

How does this differ from making a normal a-priori conlang and saying this could have been there instead of PIE?

I'm wondering this, too.
