I love those round poppies on the ground.

I love your pretty picties! [Insert Mr. Green smiley here, which I'm not actually going to do, because Mr. Greens are ugly]

Thank you!

Here is a random text about bears:

I will tell you, how bears are related to manfolk.
The bear is a big and brown mammal, who walks on all fours in sparsely grown forest and berryland, heating berries and salmon. An adult bear can crush a skull with his paws, and with his claws he could rip through even the quickest well-protected hunter. The mother bear is most aggressive, but cubs can be tame towards men.
If you ever saw a lone bear from afar, you might mistake him for a person, and if you were to examin a bear’s face from up close, you would perceive very human traits from his eyes.
Thus, bears are related to humans in such a way, that when Siskko the thunder struck the first honey drop into pieces, one of them flew into the ground and from it grew the egg of Maiġủhủbmi, the first owl. Its feather produced a birch, from which both men and bears were born. That is why they are stronger, like the bears.
However, women did not come to be like so. Instead, when another droplet fell onto the highest branch of a black spruce, it then changed into a flock or birds, from which the women were born. That is why they are more fragile and elusive.
And so, men and bears are brothers, women and birds sisters.

Looks really cool. Dialect variation is definitely less common than it should be in conlangs.

Surprisingly little. Is there anything specific you're looking for? It's scattered around in notes and old documents.

I was making examples and this came up, which I think illustrates well how much Siwa uses inferring by calling upon many impressions and ideas without directly naming the thing:

tatsġatskohkiga

'[the rope/leather/sinew/neck] tore [suddenly/violently/with great force]'

The verb is tsġatsġ- 'to tear', and it has the absolutive descriptive -ohk-, which refers to long, streatchy things and/or cylinders. The verb also has the semelfactive ending -ga which shows that the action was violent, sudden, powerful or unexpected. Finally, the 3p. pronoun ta- which shows that the action was involuntary.
So while you know what the action is, the actual subject is not named, but inferred through the -ohk-. So if a Siwa speakers only hears this word out of a phrase, he can still have a good idea of what is being talked about. It is most likely a rope, but could be the neck of a goose or duck, a string of sinew that was pulled to hard, or perhaps a piece of leather that tore while being tanned.

Good times!

Mostly just some general info, like the inventory and such.

That's sort of like Sano's Qatama, which he says he's scrapped. It had a pro-droppiness to it in a way that "Jim was listening to music with his eyes closed" would be translated as "He listened without looking". The word "music" is totally dropped, and the image of closed eyes is only hinted at with the phrase "without looking". And Qatama avoids foreign names when it can . . .

Here is a huge update, with about 330 pages. It's nowhere close being finished but this still has a lot of stuff.

346 pages is a lot to digest. If I'd started in September when you posted about it, I'd have worthwhile comments to make by now; but at the moment it will probably be next week before I can do any of those.
But, I congratulate you on having done so much work!
