What did you accomplish today? [2011–2019]
Re: What did you accomplish today?
I have two new sentences documenting serial verb construction in Onschen:
ӈахеша туӈпаԯат иліоке.
ӈа-хеш-а ту-ӈ-паԯ-ат и-ліок-е.
NFUT-go-1.ABS 1.ERG-NFUT-catch-3.ABS PL-fish-ABS.AN
I went fishing. (lit. "went caught fish")
ӈахеша ӈамоха.
га-хеш-а га-мох-а.
NFUT-go-1.ABS NFUT-sleep-1.ABS
I went to sleep. (lit. "went slept")

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Decided that for a certain vowel drop, I'd be more ok with dropping a pitch accented syllable and do something with the tone on the previous syllable than to drop the first syllable of a word, if something would be dropped and those are the only options. (Though if both, then nothing drops.) Should make some interesting alternations.

I have laid down the sound changes for Proto-Albic, and made some adjustments to those for Proto-Hercynian and Proto-Alpianic. I am quite happy with the results, though I won't rule out further tweaks in the future.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Lately I've been working on a smaller greeklang using just pen and paper. Today I have worked out some regular verb conjugations:
Conjugations of τελω (to carry, to bring) and other regular verbs whose root end in -λ, -ρ or -ν:
Conjugations of βαλλω (to throw) and other regular verbs whose root end in -λλ, -νν or -ττ:
The perfect tense uses some sort of aixiliary verb ει that acts more like a clitic, conjoining with the particle part. The participle agrees with the subject on gender and number, I think.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Looks great, SLiV! I particularly like the sound of the first and second person plural present and past tense endings.
My "accomplishment" is that this is apparently the 111111th post in the Conlangs subforum.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Thanks! The two sound changes I kept from my experiment with a portuguese-inspired greeklang are /m/,/l/,/r/ > [w] in coda positions and /tə/ > [tʃ] everywhere, so I'm happy they show off well in 1PL and 2PL.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I have my first draft of Denkurian's regular verbs.
The regular conjugation classes are determined based on the final vowel of the stem, a, e, i, o, u, and whether the past tense forms modify the stem by a prefix a(h)- or by partial reduplication. This document shows 5 of the conjugation classes. The other regular classes differ from the ones shown in past tense formation. I am undecided on having a third option for past tense formation, with a null-prefix. This may be for "irregular verbs" or another full-fledged conjugation class.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I changed the emblem of the flag for Koulesch
The original one has a six-pointed star in the middle, I changed it to a pine, as the six-pointed star is said to be too Jewish.

I prefer to not be referred to with masculine pronouns and nouns such as “he/him/his”.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
After the revision of Frislandian begun a day or two ago, I've finally come round to participles, and I now have a complex system regarding their morphological exponence (in addition to the multiple process of aspect-stem formation already present in the language), as opposed to the relatively simple single affixes that were used before. So for example here are some verb stems, quote, imperfective stem, perfective stem, imperfective participle, perfective participle.
uj, tjuoj-, ujàn, tjuotj "to come" (active, suppletive base)
pàpan-, pan-, panàn, pan "to hit" (active, perfective unmarked)
suor(w)-, suoryl-, suoròn, suoryhl "to cook" (active, imperfective unmarked)
piroj-, pisrylaj-, pirotj, pisrylatj "to hold oneself" (mediopassive, imperfective unmarked)
tienr-. tiesriw-, tienrit, tiesriwit "to make (sme) listen" (causative, imperfective unmarked)
tjen-, tjerr-, tjenèngòn, tjerrèngòn "to push (sme) onto (smth)" (applicative, perfective unmarked)
sìn-, sìtiw-, sìnànhlun, sìtiphlun "to look at (smth) with (sme)" (comitative, imperfective unmarked)

I have no idea what I'm doing anymore conlanging-wise but I was messing around and accidentally came up with an aesthetic I like, probably will just make a naming language out of it tho, if I do anything with it at all

I literally do not know any other way to make anything interesting conlanging-wise because I'm a failure as a person

Re: What did you accomplish today?
Micamo, don't even say things like that! You're a wonderful and creative story teller, for example. This is not a mark of a failed human person. If you were even a tenth of the way towards failure as a person, you'd be all over the news, so don't even go there.
Do not take this as a stream of validation. Just a statement of truth.

Re: What did you accomplish today?
I'm getting back to working on Getic. Next up are the verbs, so today I just tried to translate a quote without being too strict with anything, just to get a sense of what I might want things to look like
Díhtę slaudǎmi čē ďársę.
/díxtẽː slaudǎːmi tʃeː dʲársẽː/
'I shut my eyes in order to see.'

I codified the medio-passive endings in Lihmelinyan. I've been avoiding even getting near the medio-passive voice, but it's time to put on the gloves and work on it :)

Dual: -waza, -htā, -htē
Plural: -maza, -zwe, -rar
