I collapsed the weak declensions of the noun case system for my Hiberno-Norse lang into six cases and three genders with a distinction between palatalizing and non-palatalizing stems.

Observe:
Spoiler:
Note: L for labial mutation, A for aspiration (lenition)

Weak Masculine non-palatalizing stem:
(From the masc. -an-stems)

singular | plural
nominative: -ə | -ər
genitive: -ə | -ə
dative: -ə | L -əm
vocative: A -ə

Weak Masculine palatalizing stem:
(From the masc. -jan-stems)

singular | plural
nominative: -ʲə | -ʲər
genitive: -ʲə | -ʲə
dative: -ʲə | L -ʲəm
vocative: A -ʲə

Weak Feminine non-palatalizing stem:
(From the fem. -ōn-stems)

singular | plural
nominative: -ə | L -ər
genitive: L -ə | -nə
dative: L -ə | L -əm
vocative: A -ə

Weak Feminine palatalizing stem:
(From the fem. -jōn and -īn-stems)

singular | plural
nominative: -ʲə | L -ʲər
genitive: L -ʲə | -nə
dative: L -ʲə | L -ʲəm
vocative: A -ʲə

Weak Neuter non-palatalizing stem:
(From the neut. -an-stems)

singular | plural
nominative: -ə | L -ə
genitive: -ə | -nə
dative: -ə | L -əm
vocative: A -ə

Weak Neuter palatalizing stem:
(From the neut. -jan-stems)

singular | plural
nominative: -ʲə | L -ʲə
genitive: -ʲə | -nə
dative: -ʲə | L -ʲəm
vocative: A -ʲə

There are three moods for that kind of stuff, the permissive mood (marked with prefix meg-), the propositive mood (probs to Lambuzhao for that! marked with ra-) and the necessitative mood (marked with ian-).

This inquiring mind wants to know too!

An appealing theory to me is that the lake frequently has storms. Alternately, it might have a religious/mythical connection; in their religion, natural spirits live all over the place, and perhaps the spirits of this lake are believed to be exceptionally passionate. (Tirina doesn't draw much of a distinction between "anger" and "passion")
Mebbe a natural explanation?

You can wiki "Catatcumbo Lightning" if u want. This article gives a little more of the "local flavor" IMHO:

I (probably) added /l l’/ to TLFKAT.
Edit: ...and I'm wondering whether TLFKAT only has two vowels /a ə/:

ááqłhwqłhwatsaq → ááqłhwəqłhwatsaq → ááqłhuqłhwatsaq

Regardless, I like the new extreme look.
Edit: I just can't stop editing this post...

But it just occurred to me that I love the look of q in the forum font. It looks much nicer than on my phone, and I'm wondering whether this is impeding my willingness to use uvulars.

Not really today, but I compared a few cognates between my three different polynese-lang projects .

I'm reviving Bsarkus, my IE lang.
I researched IE reduplication and think I'll use it in Bsarkus past tense (deriving from IE Perfect) and some present forms also.

Cool  I love reduplication, despite its many varied uses in IE. Though when I use it for presents, it seems to be fairly arbitrary. There's no semantic reason why some verbs have reduplicated presents (in my conlang at least).

@ Kai:
Reduplication to show an intensive/continuous present tense (happening right now)?

I had to take my vorpal sword into the shop just recently because it wasn't going snicker-snack at all, rather more bibbidi-bobbidi-boo, which tends to leave manxsome foes laughing "tee hee hee" all the way home.

Nothing, IE is perfect [;)]

I merely meant that I originally thought IE reduplication was solely a marker of the perfect; I found it confusing when I started seeing it in other functions. But I've borrowed most of that into my own conlang anyhow [xD]

Over the last few days I've been writing an SCA2 code for my conlang TLFKAT that derives surface forms of words from an underlying phoneme structure with only two vowels and lots of glides.

Here are some stem sets formed from applying infixes to verb roots. I'll spoiler them to save space. v is how I romanise the schwa.
Spoiler:
Root: natł
natł
yatł
neetł
nootł

Root: nvtł
nvtł
yitł
neytł
naatł

Root: qvtł
qvtł
qaytł
qaytł
qootł

Root: tw
tuu
tuuy
taay
taaw

Root: thn
thvn
tnhii
tnhey
tnhaa

Root: kłwvwat
kłwoot
kłuyaat
kłwayaat
kłuwoot
So yay, something like Navajo meets Kalaallisut, with a hint of Cherokee.

My TLFKAT code is yielding long diphthongs in some derived stems, with forms such as keewtł yoowtł deriving from underlying /k<aj>awətł ja<wa>wətł/. This was entirely unplanned and unanticipated, and therefore deeply satisfying.

And yes, it's totally keewł too. [B)]
