Don't worry, half of these "strange" things are errors.

What do you mean, "errors"? :wat:

Minor failures at writing in IPA properly.

I could, but I hope this isn't how you "really" pronounce those words: you live everyday in an English country. I can't correct that, since I don't really hear you.

I "assume" that it's an error to put a glottal stop at the beginning of "example" since Americans melt their words together, but for you, I can't be 100% sure. There's also that "ex.." done as [egz], either I'm wrong and you have a big accent, or people make some mistakes in here.

Not always. /fɔɹ ʔeɡzæmpũ/ is in free alteration with /fɔɹ‿eɡzæmpũ/.

AFAIK, /e/ is an allophone of /E/ in an unstressed position.

Would you like me to post a recording of myself saying "example"?

P.S.: I'm surprised you didn't mention the nasal /u/. I thought I would have to explain that.

I did notice it, no worry. XD

Afaik, English has no plain [e], so... But there are dialects out there. I've seen minor errors, it's not that bad, but it scared Chagen. :3

Silly Visinoid. Not everyone posting here is a native speaker of English . For example, I would say my pronunciation is fairly good, but I definitely have an accent and I can't for the life of me use /z/ when speaking English. Which is probably fairly common amongst Swedes when speaking English, but it's something I'm trying to work on though.

Not to sound like a dick, but are you really in any position to point out the "mistakes" of native speakers [o.O]?

I take it you don't speak using a dialect [;)]?

To the rest of you, I apologize for not writing this in IPA but I'm too lazy.

Distinguishing between /s/ and /z/ is one of the hardest parts for me when trying to speak English properly...

That probably stems from not having that distinction in Swedish. I've never had any problems with distinguishing /ð/ from /θ/, though. I'm guessing that's because Swedish doesn't have /θ/, therefore my brain couldn't mix them up.

What

/z/ is one of the easier sounds ever.

You want a difficult sound, go for /x/

Shit is impossible for me to do without hacking my throat to pieces

I have noticed that those who don't glottalise <t> seem to be a minority on this board.
