There's an example of Avantimannish running hand runic here.

For Talarian, apart from the usual block hand, you can see an example of chancery "ocean waves hand" and a cursive cuneiform here.

I was taught cursive when I was younger, but I never ended up using it. But it seems somewhere in high school and onwards I've innovated my own cursive (which is not particularly different or amazing or illegible) which I still use now; I've just out of need developed it without much thought. I think that's what cursive is essentially: if you have need to write with a pen often and quickly, then cursive handwriting will naturally develop.

I know for instance Hebrew cursive is a thing nowadays, although the letters themselves are not linked together in either standard Hebrew block lettering or cursive; Hebrew cursive is curvy and abbreviated Hebrew lettering.

With the Talarian we are almost to make a link between cuneiform writing and Chinese writing ... I did not notice their proximity ...

With Avantimannish the link is more common on a runic style and a cycillic cursive style...

The visual is quite intentional. Cuneiform painted with delicate brush strokes on bark paper.

Cyrillic connexion is unintentional though there are clear similarities.

I have a few:

Uyendur Cursive is so different from Classical Uyendur script that they may as well be different scripts:


Gosudondiul, a relative of Uyendur script, is also cursive, though it has no non-cursive version (the one it evolved from is extinct). I have not created the language for this script yet, so I am just writing the same Uyendur text:


Domun has a cursive version (the middle column is the standard form):


Qgam Dzwo also has a Chinesey cursive style:

Uyendur and Gosudondiul are very cursive writing...
Domun and Qgam Dzwo are more block letters... (and I can not help but lean my head to read them horizontally...)

I have very neat printing, so I don't like to use cursive because it never looks as nice as my printing. That said, I do seem to use cursive for in-class essays (it's not required at my school, but it's recommended). So I guess I have found some uses for it :)

I'm a fan of Qgam Dzwo, have you posted about it before?

It's a language I've only used on CWS. It's actually written in two scripts: the traditional alphabetic one here, which is a minority script, and an imported logographic script, which is the primary script. But due to the foibles of collaboration, the logographic script is getting revamped and so I can't really use it at this point. Maybe I should write about it somewhere around here later on. Anyway, this is getting off topic.

Easiest way would be to open it in Paint and simply adjust the sizing to something a bit smaller. Elsewise, I would usually suggest you throw it in a spoiler... but that still isn't working so far as I know.

This is not the case for all the vertical scripts that I examine, it is certainly due to a certain dissymmetry, related to the direction of the writing, like a cursive ... Whereas for example the Chinese is very balanced and does not seem linked to a writing path ...

Yeah, I only find the second last line illegible. Everything else seems pretty normal to me.
