Oh, cool! Sorry, it might take me a little bit to come up with a new word, but I'll try to have one soon.

No, I haven't forgotten. Sorry, though. I haven't been able to come up with anything, but with final exams and papers, traveling, and the board being down, I haven't had a lot of time to think about it. I'll try to have something soon.

I think this round might be over pretty soon, but I didn't want to delay the game anymore.

Just wanted to confirm that it is ixals' turn, in case that was ambiguous.

I know, sorry. I couldn't come up with a good word [D:] Here it is, only the pronunciation so it's a little bit harder if that's okay for you!

Exciting! [:D] Is it a noun, and if so, does it descend from a Latin second declension noun?

Yes, it's a noun. Concerning the declension, I'd answer yes and no.

Hmm, tricky [}:D]
So, multiple declensions - were there masculine and feminine forms?

Not really multiple declensions. It was not a second declension noun in Latin if I may say so.

Ah, ok - analogised to masculine in the descendant?

Did the Latin ancestor begin <se-/sē->?

Not analogy, another common process [:D]

With /s/ yes, but not with those vowels.

Was it the suffix <-ius>?
One of <sī-/sa-/sā->?
An umlaut thing with <so-/sō->?

Well, the suffix ended in <-ius>, it was a bit longer than that [B)]

And yes, it was one of <sī-/sa-/sā->, the middle one to be exact.
