I guess we are supposed to translate it. The argument for that conclusion goes as follows:

(1) If something is posted in the translation forum, we are supposed to translate it.
(2) Eldin's post is posted in the translation forum.
Therefore, (3) We are suppose to translate eldins post.

:con: Wateu

Ta lama o teki "l"
DEF lama GEN one "l"
Xe ne wiga xi
PRS FOC priest 3s
Ta llama o roxa "l"
DEF llama GEN two "l"
Xe ne mwere xi
PRS FOC beast 3s
Tipa a mai ta pouru o tili
offer ERG 1s DEF pyjamas GEN silk
Tewa kurui lllama o xoro "l"
PURP NEG.exist lllama GEN three "l"

It works in Wateu because both "lama" and "llama" are loanwords, that are treated in roughly the same way as in English.

I get it.

I don't expect it to work in that many other languages, though, as they don't pretend that the pronunciation differs (unless it really does).

When someone posts a translation like that, it's highly probable that Ossicone or someone else will kindly ask that person to provide glosses.

[+1]

I should use this as an exercise to develop Kuti wane. And maybe I can rip these words up and torture some poor Kuti who's trying to figure out what they mean. [}:D]

:con: Kuti wane
Ju lama geh jiā "l": ce fi' ku' ma.
thing lama GEN one "l" COP 3SM person bless
[dʒu la.ma gẽ ɟā ɛl çe fiʔ kuʔ ma]
"The lama of one 'l': [he is] bless-person."

Ju llama geh cah "l" ne: ce fi' rr góh.
thing llama GEN two "l" PL COP 3SM ART.INDEF animal
[dʒu la.ma gẽ çã ɛl ne çe r̩ fiʔ gõ]
"The llama of two 'l's: [he is] an animal."

Fór arr ju rim rrof ji giu iah' grī ce ju lllama geh rroh "l" ne.
give 1SG thing sleep clothing 2SG DAT COND NEG COP thing lllama GEN three "l" PL
[fóɹ arː dʒu ɹim rof ɟi gju dʒu jãʔ gɹī çe lama gẽ rõ ɛl ne]
"[I give] pajama to you if [doesn't exist] the lllama of three 'l's."

The Kuti don't have silk, and most of them don't even have clothes, so they'll do the best they can.

Strict Asedala translation:
af’ede ani lil’e lama
have-PART one N2-l lama.N1
isi sbelya,
3.N1 priest.N1
afe’ede nya lil’e llama
have-PART two N2-l llama.N1
isi srunya,
3.N1 priest.N1
fe, fa cacu sys’ysithypajama,
and 1.N1 bet N2-silk-pajama
afe’ede bure lil’e lllama
have-PART three N2-l lllama.N1
der’u debu.
NEG exist.

Fun Asedala translation (a mnemonic for fairies learning English):
af’ede ani lil’e sbelya
have-PART one N2-l priest.N1
With one l, priestly;

af’ede nya lil’e srunya
have-PART two N2-l beast.N1
With two l’s, beastly;

fe fa sysithyny cacu
and 1.N1 bug-thread-stuff wager.V1
And, I’ll bet thread-of-flies*,

af’ede bure lil’e sus’umya
have-PART three N2-l lie.N1
With three l’s, all lies.
*Silk. No pajamas, unfortunately.

N1 (noun class 1) can be, but isn’t always, the subject of an active verb or the agent of a passive verb.
N2 can be the direct object of an active sentence.
N3 can be the patient of a passive verb.

Thanks, alias!

One thing:

I'm sure you meant
3.N1 beast.N1

sbelya is priest, srunya is beast, right?

Interesting kenning for "silk". How do they say "honey"?
