Ralno: Lamān bejableyizūralgajuthuruinamororlin.
Yulu: Bableyizūralgajuthurmorordiorgli?
Ralno: Bableyizūralgajuthurulamiolāmāinam.
Yulu: Yulueurodo zibemdo bableyizūralgajuthurulamiolāmābamlin.
Ralno: Lőzamān! Zőzabemdodo yujēlueare bableyizūralgajuthurulamiolāmāinamlin! Yujēlueinamor. Bemdovrar.
Yulu: Ralnoedo ozrugli algajuthurlirimulin?
Ralno: Raljūnoeurodo lamān thejalthu algajuthurlirimulin. Raljānoeurodo yujīlueare. Thőzalān algajuthurlirimulin!
Yulu: Athaljo, athaljo.
Spoiler:
I had to interpret what's going on here in order to assign honorifics and politeness levels. This servant is quite rude!

[ˈɾalnɔ ˈlamaːn ˈbɛʒablɛʎizuːɾalgaʒuðuɾuinamɔˌɾɔɾlin]
ralno: lam-ān b<ej>ableyizūralgajuthur-u-inam-or-or-lin
king: say-IMP.BL <INF>spear-SG.DEF.NEUT-1.POSS-COP-PASS-LOC
king: tell (me) (where) is-my-spear
King: Where is my spear?

Note: The verbal suffix -or used for passive voice also works on other-than-active verbs, in which case, it just displaces the subject, placing the object in the subject's place. But in this case, where the locative -lin follows it, it places a locative in the subject's place instead of the object.

[ˈʎulu ˈbablɛʎizuːɾalgaʒuðuɾmɔɾɔɾdiˌɔɾgli]
yulu: bableyizūralgajuthur-mor-ordi-or-gli
servant: spear-NEUT-what-COP-INT.XPOL
Servant: What spear is it?
Edit: I realized the way the above sentence was originally translated doesn't actually ask to identify the spear being talked about, so I edited it.
***A yulu is a personal domestic servant, someone very low ranking. Addressing the king with an interrogative sentence is quite rude even though he is using the extremely polite inflection. He must have used the supplicative:
lam-yin b<ej>ableyizūralgajuthur-ba-ordi-or
say-SUPLV.XPOL <INF>spear-DEF-what-COP
Tell(me) what spear.

[ˈɾalnɔ ˈbablɛʎizuːɾalgaʒuðuɾulamiɔlaːmaːˌinam]
ralno: bableyizūralgajuthur-u-lamiol-āmā-inam
king: spear-SG.DEF.NEUT-magic-PERM.DESC.UNIF-1.POSS
King: My magic spear.

***The king is quite indulgent.

[ˈʎulu ˈʎuluɛuˌɾɔdɔ ˈzibɛmdɔ ˈbablɛʎizuːɾalgaʒuðuɾulamiɔlaːmaːˌbamlin]
yulu: yulu-e-uro-do zi-bemdo bableyizūralgajuthur-u-lamiol-āmā-bam-lin
servant: servant-SG.DEF.MASC-1.this-TOP IND.XPOL.NEG-know spear-SG.DEF.NEUT-magic-PERM.DESC.UNIF-2.POSS-LOC
servant: (about)this-servant not-know where-your-magic-spear
Servant: I don't know where your magic spear is.

***The servant continues to be rude. He should have marked yulueuro this servant with -jē-, explicitly indicating him being lower ranking than the king: yujēlueuro.

[ˈɾalnɔ ˈlɔːzamaːn ˈzɔːzabɛmˌdɔdɔ ˈʎuʒɛːluɛˌaɾɛ ˈbablɛʎizuːɾalgaʒuʒuɾulamiɔlaːmaːiˌnamlin ˈʎuʒɛːluɛiˌnamɔɾ ˈbɛmdɔvɾaɾ]
ralno: l<őz>am-ān! z<őz>a-bemdo-do yu<jē>lu-e-are bableyizūralgajuthur-u-lamiol-āmā-inam-lin! yu<jū>lu-e-inam-or. bemdo-vrar.
king: <EMP>say-IMP.BL! <EMP>IND.BL.NEG-know-TOP <HBL>servant-SG.DEF.MASC-2.that spear-SG.DEF.NEUT-magic-PERM.DESC.UNIF-1.POSS-LOC! <HON>servant-SG.DEF.MASC-1.POSS-COP. know-OBLG5.BL
king: tell(me)! Don't know that-servant where-my-magic-spear! (You) is-my-servant. Should-know.
King: tell me! You don't know where my magic spear is! You are my servant. You should know.

***Here, the -jē- infix marks the servant as lower ranking than the king.
***OBLG5 is the maximum obligation level. The servant must never fail to know.
Edit: Edited this to correct honorific usage here.
[ˈʎulu ˈɾalnɔˌɛdɔ ˈɔzɾugli ˈalgaʒuðuɾliɾiˌmulin]
yulu: ralno-e-do o-zru-gli algajuthurlirim-u-lin
servant: king-SG.DEF.MASC-TOP PRF-look-INT.XPOL weapon_room-SG.DEF.NEUT-LOC
Servant: Have you looked in the weapon room?

***The servant goes even deeper into his rudeness. He not only addresses the king with an interrogative, he also should have marked ralnoe the king with -jū-, making the king higher ranking than himself.

[ˈɾalnɔ ˈɾalʒuːnɔɛuˌɾɔdɔ ˈlamaːn ˈðɛʒalðu ˈalgaʒuðuɾliɾiˌmulin ˈɾalʒaːnɔɛuˌɾɔdɔ ˈʎuʒiːluɛˌaɾɛ ˈðɔːzalaːn ˈalgaʒuðuɾliɾiˌmulin]
ralno: ral<jū>no-e-uro-do lam-ān th<ej>al-thu algajuthurlirim-u-lin. r<jā>alno-e-uro-do yu<jī>lu-e-are. th<őz>al-ān algajuthurlirim-u-lin!
king: <HON>king-SG.DEF.MASC-1.this-TOP say-IMP.BL <INF>go-why weapon_room-SG.DEF.NEUT-LOC. <7DEG.HON>king-SG.DEF.MASC-1.this-TOP <1DEG.HON>servant-SG.DEF.MASC-2.that. <EMP>go-IMP.BL weapon_room-SG.DEF.NEUT-LOC!
King: Why should I go to the weapon room? I'm the king, and you're the servant. Go to the the weapon room!

***Here the king uses the 7th degree honorific reserved for the gods. He is obviously annoyed at the servant's rudeness and incompetence. This can be noticed also by the emphasis mark used when commanding the servant to go to the weapon room.

[ˈʎulu ˈaðalʒɔ, ˈaðalʒɔ]
yulu: a-thal-jo, a-thal-jo
servant: PROG-go-IND.POL PROG-go-IND.POL
servant: going, going
Servant: As you wish, as you wish...

***If whatever the servant had said didn't earned him some punishment, this did. He lowered his politeness level from extremely polite to just polite.

Ō: Yari wa doko na n da.

Ō: Chin no mahō no yari da yo.

Ō: Nan da tte? Shiranai no ka?

This is obviously supposed to be a comedic dialogue, so I have made the king speak in a totally normal and non-kingly way, except he uses a pronoun reserved for royalty. The servant is extra-polite.

Spoiler:
King: spear TOP where COP.ATTR NMZ COP
Servant: which spear COP-POL.POT Q
King: 1.ROYAL GEN magic GEN spear COP EMPH
Servant: DEM.MED-ATTR whereabouts TOP know.HBL-POL-NEG
King: what NMZ COP QUOT | know-NEG NMZ Q | servant COP-from understand-CONJ be be.expected.to COP.ATTR NMZ COP EMPH

Servant: HON-wish in.accordance.with DAT do.HBL-POL.

I have glossed deshō as COP-POL.POT because I'm not sure how exactly to gloss degrees of probability.

I don't have the time to make a gloss or IPA transcription. Basics are, standard fantasy pronunciation, r is tapped, vowels with a macron are doubled in length, e is pronounced "uh" at end of word, unless the word is one syllable or the e is doubled.

I can do a quick more literal translation:

King: Where is my spear?
Servant: What?
King: My magic spear.
Servant: I don't know where your magic spear is.
King: You don't know? You are my servant. You need to know.
Servant: Have you looked for it in the weapon room?
King: Why do I need to look for it? I am king, you are a servant. Go to the weapon room!
Servant: I'll do it, I'll do it...

clawgrip wrote:This is obviously supposed to be a comedic dialogue, so I have made the king speak in a totally normal and non-kingly way, except he uses a pronoun reserved for royalty.
With this in mind, I leave matters of style behind, since this conversation is rather colloquial, and in real life, the servant should have been flayed or received the death of a thousand cuts about sentence 2 into the dialogue. [B)] So this could certainly be tightened up to sound more like a TV period drama. But I wasn't raised in the dynasties, so don't know how to do that. That said:
皇帝:朕的枪是哪里?
Huángdì: Zhèn de qiāng shì nǎlǐ?

emperor: 1SG.HON GEN spear COP where
Emperor: Where is my spear?
The big one: Don't use the copula 是 (shì) with places; you should use 在(zài)“枪在哪里?“ (though you do use 在 further on). You could also swap out 在 for 于 (yú), but then you'd probably have to up the ante on how to express "where" in register.
用人:那支枪?
Yòngrén: Nà zhī qiāng?

servant: which CL spear
Servant: What spear?
In the sentence above, you used 哪 (nǎ) for "which", which, with the mouth radical is, relatively speaking, a recent development. In the old days, 那 was read either "nà" for "that" or "nǎ" for "which", with context presumably picking up the load. In this sentence, you've transliterated it as "nà" (which admittedly, could just be a tonal typo), which only allows for the "that" interpretation. So you could change it "nǎ" here, but since you used 哪 above, why not just run with consistency (and give the TV actors a break)?

Too, a very quick scan of native-speaker boards seems to indicate that while many would most likely say "一支枪" when not thinking about it in conversation (so you're good to go), they also seem to feel, rightly or wrongly, that in standard Mandarin, "一杆枪" is "more standard". Someone offered up "一株枪", which seems a bit of overkill to me. And non-native I would only use "一把枪" when "枪” is meant in its modern sense of "gun".

And finally on this one: Dollars to doughnuts this is the wrong term to describe this relationship with an emperor, but anyway, I'm used to seeing 用人 written as 佣人 in subtitles and other written media I come into contact with. So again, a quick, little peek-see, and there seems to be a fair bit of flux on this in mainland usage. But I like this conclusion from one commentator:

而【仆人】的同义词【用人】本来就不顺眼,所以其派生词“女用”、“男用”就更不顺眼
In its synonymous sense of "servant", "用人" just jars in its visual effect, so words in a similar vein like “女用” for "female servant" and “男用” for "male servant" are even more jarring. (loose translation mine)
(The point being that without the person radical, 用 just means "use". Ew, not very face-giving.)
用人:臣不知道天子的魔幻的枪的地方。 [???]
Yòngrén: Chén bù zhīdào tiānzǐ de móhuànde qiāng de dìfāng.

1SG.HON NEG know son_of_heaven GEN spear GEN place
Servant: I don't know where the son of heaven's magic spear is.

皇帝:啊?你不知道朕的魔幻的枪的地方?
Huángdì: A? Nǐ bù zhīdào zhèn de móhuànde qiāng de dìfāng?

emperor: huh? 2SG NEG know 1SG.HON GEN magical spear GEN place?
Emperor: What? You don't know where my magic spear is?
Again, non-native, but the usage of 地方 in this sense of "where sth. is" feels quite strange (and you did mark it with question marks). As is, it sounds to me like, "I don't know where the magic spear (is/should be) kept (id est: its place)." Which a servant should know. But this conversation seems to be more about "Where the hell is it? Did you leave it in the kitchen? In the magic spear compartment of the sedan chair?", whereupon I'd continue with "不知道在哪里“ throughout the conversation.

Edit in writing: Oh, oh, oh. "在什么地方“ for ”在哪里“ may be what you were going for. Much less awkward.
用人:天子在武库查看了吗?
Yòngrén: Tiānzǐ zài wǔkù chákàn le ma?

servant: son_of_heaven in weapon_room look PERF POL
Has the son of heaven looked in the weapon room?
查看? 找 is probably enough.
皇帝:朕应该去武库为什么?
Huángdì: Zhèn yīnggāi qù wǔkù wèishéme?

emperor: 1SG.HON should go weapon_room why? 1SG.HON COP son_of_heaven, and 2SG COP servant. Go weapon_room
King: Why should I go to the weapon room?
为什么 at the end is strange. As in Japanese, I think you can move stuff down to the end to highlight topic, though I think more rarely in Chinese (and here, I'd add a comma). Here, it sounds to me, like "Why do I have to go to the weapons room?" (among similarly aged siblings -- why is it always me?)

You're the emperor, for Heaven's sake, so the effect should be, "Why, the f**k, do/should I have go to the weapons room?!" In which case, you don't ask "why", but "how":

朕怎么要去武库找?
朕怎要去武库找?
朕咋要去武库找?
朕哪要去武库找?
朕哪能要去武库找?

In what way do (you expect that) I go to the weapons room?
(Don't ask me which is standard -- I'm a dialectal mess. I stabbed for a north to south continuum.)
Corrections welcome.

Thanks for the corrections, Kou! I think the most important part for me to memorize is never to use 是 with places and always 在. Gotcha.
Lao Kou wrote:In this sentence, you've transliterated it as "nà" (which admittedly, could just be a tonal typo), which only allows for the "that" interpretation.
Yep, it's a tonal typo. I was too lazy to do pinyin on my own so I just ran the symbols through google translate and didn't see that the tone was wrong.
Lao Kou wrote:Again, non-native, but the usage of 地方 in this sense of "where sth. is" feels quite strange (and you did mark it with question marks).
Actually, the main reason why I marked this with question marks was the double genitive where I was extremely insecure if that is possible, especially together with the adjective.

Fixed. You are correct, (romanised) [tesnek] is /'təsnək/

Though, technically /e/ is always romanised as [ae], not written as such. There is the griuskant conscript ;)
