It's not related to that, and I can't find any reference at all to it having any cognates which are bound morphemes.

To clarify, I was able to find bound morpheme cognates of *haiduz, but I was not able to find any for any of the lemmas that make up the word I gave.

No, it isn't.

Did the "first" morpheme begin with l? Was the first vowel a long vowel? (ie, does the PG shape equate to l*V̄$, where * is a wildcard)?

Yes and no, respectively. Also, I'm not sure what the dollar sign stands for.

Sorry, I meant to put that $ indicates a syllable boundary.

Is there a sequence of two or more vowels in the first syllable?

Some hints:
  • The word is made up of a compound of two nominative singular nouns.
  • Long vowels can derive from historically nasalized vowels.

A review of what has been determined so far:
  • The word is a compound made up of two nouns.
  • The first part of the compound was not derived from *liudiz or *linþaz.
  • The second part of the compound was not derived from *haitaną, *haiduz, *haifstiz, or *hangistaz.
  • The meaning of the word has nothing to do with Lithuania.
  • The second part of the compound does not have cognates in other Germanic languages that are derivational suffixes.
  • The first part of the compound began with *l in Proto-Germanic.
  • The first syllable of the first part of the compound contained neither a long vowel, nor a sequence of two or more vowels, in Proto-Germanic.
  • The word is made up of a compound of two nominative singular nouns.
  • Long vowels in the conlang can derive from historically nasalized vowels.

A few more hints:
  • The noun in the conlang is masculine, as was the second noun in the compound in Proto-Germanic. However, the first noun was not masculine.
  • Both nouns were two syllables long in Proto-Germanic.

Yeah, it's… a little frustrating, I won't lie. I usually try to come up with something that will pose an actual challenge, but those words always end up being correctly guessed after just a few tries. This time, though, I just slapped two words together and more than a month has gone by without the word's meaning being identified. I don't get it. Although, the amount of time it's taken is largely due to how little interest there seems to be for threads like this.

Another hint, because I desperately want this to keep moving along:
  • The two words making up the compound are semantically rather close.

I'm sure this will get no traction but I do have a word prepared. It's simpler than it looks.
