Were people's guesses regarding these words ever confirmed or denied?

Is it a compound word?

If it's not "the long wyrm (dragon)" or "the long worm", is it "the long snake"?

This is pretty tough, at least in my opinion, since it's a longer sentence… is it "I thought about the air and X the clouds X out of dogs and X"? "X" represents a word I don't have a guess for.

Isn't Faucholën just Falochland, his concountry?

No, it doesn't compound that way.

(My phone doesn't have a o-macron, so I'll use a o-double accent for the same vowel, also ticked d instead of edh and e-dot for long mid front)

Is it ődőđra-mė

Getting colder there! It's ōd-ōðramɛ̄.

Does ōd derive from ūt?

Is "ōd-" derived from a preposition or an element that was already used as a prefix in Proto-Germanic?

I teased out that the first morpheme is from *andi-. Like the Ingaevonic nasal spiral law, the a is lengthened and the n is lost. Then a probably became more close.

Following that, I identify *antheros with the second morpheme in the dative. That gives us roughly "against second". I think this is a preposition of some sort.

No, not a preposition. That meaning is very rough too; you'll need to tweak that and think more metaphorically.
