Guess and Translate next Line in Poem

Post by Isfendil »

Copy pasted from conlang conversation thread:

Nath meango mas!
[nɑʈʰ mɛ'ɐŋo mɑs]
1SG.PRON.DAT GER-think-AGE.SG.IDF PRZ
I have an idea!

Ad'kakad ka'meshe'at, ad'cerx sikceg'at sher'al d'esh
[ɑdkɑ̆kɑd kɑ'mɛʃɛɑ̈t, ɑdt͡ʃɛɾh sikt͡ʃɛgɑt ʃɛɾɑl dɛʃ]
IMP-INT-see INT-GER-say-PAT.SG.DEF, IMP-write next-line-PAT.SG.DEF tongue-INS.SG.DEF 2PL.PRON.GEN
Identify the poem, write the next line in your language.

Adkakad memordat nash, otsüe nash, no cosheman del
[ɑdkɑ̆kɑd mɛ'moɾdɑt nɑʃ, o'tsɨɛ nɑʃ, no 't͡ʃoʃɛˌmɑn dɛl]
IMP-INT-see GER-down-PAT.SG.DEF 1SG.PRON.GEN, neighbour-AGE.PL.DEF 1SG.PRON.GEN, 1SG.PRON.AGE RECP-say-FUT 2PL.PRON.INS
Witness my predicament, oh my neighbours, as I shall relate it to you.

If you absolutely can't guess, it's Il Kantilena

Bonus points if it rhymes with any version of the previous line. Must have full gloss plus IPA. Line must be coloured like above and italic.

By the way, I can reorganize consituents in the above language so if you do want it to rhyme, you have [o], [n], or [l] to work with. Or for the english, I guess.

When you find the poem, You can choose which language you translate from if you can- either the original or the english.
