ending with an *i? Definitely not an accusative form.

*tanCōCCVCi?
That'd make the first word likely tangō. Of course, if Thrice isn't using common forms of words, there's a much larger pool of answers. Maybe the second word is scaccī?

Roughly "touch" + "chess"... Maybe "to play [a piece in chess]"?

I just now noticed that the *-i# isn't 100% right, but it is so close that I didn't note the difference until just now.

You're right, not accusative.
*tanCōCVVCi?
[cross]; But oh so very close. The number of letters and placement of consonants and vowels are correct, I'll give you that.

(Corrected an error I made.)

*tanCoCVVCī?

Is the second word the ablative of a noun? Is the second word even a noun?

One question at a time good folks.

No it is not (nor is it a noun).

No. I'm starting to wonder if maybe some clue or another was misleading.

I'm gonna go ahead and kick this thread in the pants.

I think I chose very poorly as the changes from Latin I use take me to a far more un-naturalistic place than most of your languages do. The original compound was: TANTĪ-DUONĪ. The word uses a variant for "buonī" but otherwise is just the same source word that gives us "también" In Spanish (minus the shortenings). (Oh, and it's in genitive case.)

Here's an easy one:

*atrozor, *atroçor (depending on which side of the mountains and/or river you are)

Sorry if this got answered before and I'm missing it somewhere, but is the word a noun or adjective?

What instantly jumps into my mind is :es: aterrizar

So is the -or from a verbal infinitive?

Since it’s been almost three weeks with no reply from Lambuzhao, if there are no objections, I might do a new word.

Before the new challenge, I'd like to register my guess at Lambuzhao's real quick, just in case it gets seen in time.

Is atrozor/atroçor from Latin atrocior? That seems too easy, but hey.
