Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs
Was either of them a bound morpheme?
Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs
, one part is quite small!qwed117 wrote: Was it divided roiça-nhó?
, the second one was in Latin but the first morpheme wasn't a productive root and only exists in this word so then both of them might be? "roiçanhó" isn't identifiable as being made up of two morphemes by the language's speakers though!shimobaatar wrote:Was either of them a bound morpheme?

I definitely didn't expect that. Yes, it's a nightingale.

(I kinda wanna play, but if I win, I don't have a Romlang that would at all be easy to guess the ancestor word. )

It's okay to pass your turn to someone else.

I don't have a Romlang at all, but I still play. Like Creyeditor said, you can always pass.Thrice Xandvii wrote:(I kinda wanna play, but if I win, I don't have a Romlang that would at all be easy to guess the ancestor word. )

Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs
I pass, since I don't have a romlang to contribute with.

Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs
Mind if I take a turn anyway, just to see how it goes? I'm going to go ahead and ask forgiveness later if you feel I shouldn't have (instead of waiting for permission, now). Hopefully I am able to answer all the questions you guys ask of me. Also, please don't cheat, as I may have posted this word on the boards already in Translations, but I wanted to use an easier word (maybe?) instead of the more obtuse ones considering the language I am using is NOT your standard Romance language even though it does use Latin as a base... here goes, complete with native script:
tązinu
/tə̃.ˈt͜si.nu/
tązinu
/tə̃.ˈt͜si.nu/
Re: Guess the Word in Romlangs
Is it made of two morphemes? If so, is the second morpheme -īnus?Thrice Xandvii wrote:tązinu

Does the nasalization come from a lost nasal coda?
