hmm.
Does the <rr> in gurrei come from a non-rhotic consonant or any consonant cluster?

That's of course if Croatiae isn't correct, which I suspect it is.
Spoiler:
My minicity is [http://zyphrazia.myminicity.com/xml]Zyphrazia and [http://novland.myminicity.com/xml]Novland.

Minicity has fallen :(

Does the <rr> simply come from Classical Latin r?

Is the initial <é> prothetic? If so, was there originally an <s> between before the next consonant?

Indeed! Good guessing, Clio!

So it was a present participle in Classical Latin, but isn't anymore… is it still a verb form, or would you consider it more of a nominal (noun/adjective)?

Shot in the dark here but the closest English cognate is squalor...so I'm gonna guess something like "poverty"?

The meaning's a bit more specific than just dry, but I'd be willing to give it to you.

That's extremely close. I was thinking something along the lines of withered, parched, singed; matted (of hair in which a liquid has dried up).
