Anyway, there's all kinds of dark things one can do periautopsally. I mean, obviously, there's necrophilia. That's dark.

Or theres, oh coo! Body snatching! Exterraraption!

Got to give the young medical students something to do on a Friday evening besides play billiards and sip cheap swill!

Either necrophilia or body snatching. And I guess "playing billiards" [;)]

It's either necrophilia or bodysnatching. Whichever you associate more with the 18th and 19th centuries

No, I don't think anyone answered the correct answer. I was just saying that it's either necrophilia, body snatching or "playing billiards", and that you had to guess it.

Oh, OK, I thought you meant that it meant all of those things (well, I assumed the billiards part was a joke).

I'm happy to see that the other two guessing games are running again, but I'd love to see this one return as well. So if we have to only guess between these three words now (because that seems to be the problem here?), I'm just gonna guess it's necrophilia. [:S]

I wasn't guessing because I don't have a Romlang to use in case I get it right. In the interest of keeping this thread alive, though, is it "billiards"? [:P]

shimo wins. [:P] It was body snatching. Whoever wants to go can take it.

Sure, I don't have a good word in my abondoned romlang either so here's a more simple one I'd say!

Does ç come from a ti sequence in Latin?
(Also, does anhó come from -ānus?)

Depends on how you define "come from". It wasn't there in the beginning so I guess it had to come from somwhere. However, there was no /C/ > /i̯/ so I'll say [cross] for now?

"come from" as in "was there a consonant there in Latin"? I don't meant to sound rude, but what else did you think I could have meant? In any case, you answered the question I was asking.

Was /oi̯/ a diphthong in Latin?

It was clear what you meant. The you in "Depends on how you define ..." was supposed to be an impersonal you. I think I worded that one wrong, sorry!

Was it a long vowel?

No need to apologize. Misunderstandings happen.
