I want to see how different languages handle this idiomatic expression.

:eng: It would be one thing if he had apologized, but he didn't even say he was sorry.
:con: Kankonian: Is likasen *ines ham yakhen wan du*ug, am wan os au oyezen az wan as weviya.
I might+PRESENT+PAST understand that if+PAST he apologize but he not even say+PAST that he is sorry
"I might have understood that if he had apologized, but he didn't even say that he was sorry."

Why don't these ever translate nicely? :(

:eng: It would be one thing if he had apologized, but he didn't even say he was sorry.

I have to think of the conlang translataion.

:eng: It would be one thing if he had apologized, but he didn't even say he was sorry.
:fin: Asia olisi voitu unohtaa, jos hän olisi pyytänyt anteeksi, mutta hän ei edes sanonut olevansa pahoillaan. (could have been forgotten) (pyytää anteeksi = ask *sorry) (olla pahoillaan = to be sorry, to be on one's bad ones)

:con: Kankonian: Is likasen *ines ham yakhen wan du*ug, am wan os au oyezen az wan as weviya.
