You can fool all the people some of the time, and some of the people all the time, but you cannot fool all the people all the time.

Just like in griuskant, the translation loses a lot as you cannot copy the analogy/parallelism of the "some/all". Note that the translators of the quote decided to use the 1PL inclusive verbal forms to convey the meaning best, as the 3rd person impersonal sounds odd and/or archaic nowadays in most contexts.

Pannonian is boringly Germanic-adjacent here - there's a set of preterite-presents and so on.
