Re: Conlang Conversation Thread
(I assume you're asking why I used the word I did for "thanks" instead of another word?)
Visigothic:
Yc socida "aiwiliudon" yn Google ya yc ni fanç ñenhon. Huan yc socida yenata güerd çate uile quiçan "thanks", yc fanç "þagks" yn Wiktionary.
I searched for "aiwiliudon" on Google and found nothing. When I searched for a word that means "thanks", I found "þagks" on Wiktionary.
¿Duhue ni uiles çu usan gascírnines yn anguile? Yta yst mieso aseto quiçan du manahon yabe yut quiçates ço samon rasda.
Why don't you want to use English translations? It's much easier to speak to someone if the two of you speak the same language.
Ya yc ni uillo çatene yena glossa.
And I don't mean just a gloss.
(By the way, aiwiliudon > yevilludon, probably.)
Çu ni çarfte. Yabe çu uiles yenata anagüerde esñúmuno, çato ni yst ubilata.
You don't have to. If you want an answer quickly, that isn't bad.
Visigothic:
¡Ah, çancos!
Ah, thanks!
