What CBB Language Am I Looking At?
I'm planning to make a diagram that allows people to identify what CBB conlang they're looking at based on the romanizations. You can contribute by posting your language's name and an inventory of the single- or multi-character components of the language's romanization, as well as a sample, if you want.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you have, say, <th> but not <h>, write BOTH <th> AND <h> in your list. All characters and all polygraphs.
Example:
Arežọ
a á b č d dl e é ẹ ẹ́ f g h i í k l lh m n ň ng o ó ọ ọ́ p r s š t tl u ú v w x y z ž

I'm not sure how useful that'd be since so many romanizations overlap, but eh:

Re: What CBB Language Am I Looking At?
Sounds fun! For now I'll only include Awloya and Olwöa, since they're the most developed (aside from Hɛlcɛso, which is probably getting it's phonology redone soon, so it would become inaccurate really quickly).

Re: What CBB Language Am I Looking At?
The diagram is up with these languages! More would still be appreciated, of course.

Commonthroat's "romanization":
B b C c D d F f G g H h J j K k L l M m N n P p q r s
Letter case is significant. Vowels can form contours, but you can tell the shape of the contour based on the component vowels so I don't think those count as digrpahs.

Hmm, my script doesn't have underdots, though it does have breve below to indicate velars.Arayaz wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024 20:25 The diagram is up with these languages! More would still be appreciated, of course.

The red line pointing to Vrkhazian means that it doesn't fit that criteria.Ahzoh wrote: ↑07 Mar 2024 04:45Hmm, my script doesn't have underdots, though it does have breve below to indicate velars.Arayaz wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024 20:25 The diagram is up with these languages! I believe you mean "those criteria", but yes, the green line points to Arežọ, which has underdots, and the red line points to Vrkhazhian, which doesn't. That's basically the way a dichotomous key works. Think of green as "go" and red as "stop".GoshDiggityDangit wrote: ↑07 Mar 2024 04:50The red line pointing to Vrkhazian means that it doesn't fit that criteria.Ahzoh wrote: ↑07 Mar 2024 04:45Hmm, my script doesn't have underdots, though it does have breve below to indicate velars.Arayaz wrote: ↑06 Mar 2024 20:25 The diagram is up with these languages! Here is an attempt for Chusole:
a á ai ái b bi c ch d di dz e é ei éi g gi h hi i í j k ki l li m mi n ni o ó oi ói p pi r ri s sh t ti ts u ú y ý
A combination of consonant + <i> indicates palatization; vowel + <i> indicates a falling diphthong and/or palatalization of the following consonant; an acute accent indicates stress/high tone.

Re: What CBB Language Am I Looking At?
I do know i haven't used *gʷ in a single word yet and note all nasal + stop clusters are from loanwords or recent compounding as they lenite in all instances from Proto Amaric to Amarin.
