How about klezmer? Klezmer is Jewish music.

Ahhhh, I understand now ─ you mean music that is connected with the ethnic heritage of (most) Jews. I looked up klezmer to learn more about it, and may listen to some once I get a chance (in school right now).

So, my general interest in music can summed up as: is it stringy? (It's a bad description of what I like.)
I'm not really sure how else to put it. I have lots of favorites as far as world music goes (I'm not so up to date in western classical of all things).
Two of my big loves are 80s-90s style lofi (I like Stauber (typical); honestly I can't stand a lot of modern lofi motifs), and Middle Eastern music.
Anyways, some finds (I think they're all Kurdish):

Last one is a poem from Rumi.

I'm tend to find a few pieces of music I like and mull over them rather than search out song after song. So I tend to have read more about a style than I listen to it.

Edit: Oh wait today's Norwuz.

Postman Pat is one of the most wholesome shows there is.

Also, can I add that season 1 of Postman Pat is lovely? For one, unlike a lot of shows, it happily involves the different seasons, instead of just summer. Everything is wholesome, but realistic in a way. And episode 13 is pleasantly subversive of the other episodes, making a good season finale.

Not technically listening "right now" but I sometimes like to listen to shortwave radio. East Asia (Korea, Japan, and LOTS of PRC stations can be heard in the morning where I live in the US, and Europe (mostly Romania) in the evenings.

Cuba's propaganda station (and the US's propaganda station pointed at Cuba) come in loud and clear here on the gulf coast at all hours, and I also like listening to Cuba's numbers station.

I learned about the assassination of Shinzo Abe over SW.

Ripley [:D] [tick]
Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver [>:|] [maybe]

"Ripley" is so striking visually, with a focus on the interplay of light and shadow that is echoed in the main character's fascination with Caravaggio. It feels as if every single shot has been meticulously composed. The series builds tension and humor through methodical repetition, taking time to show every detail of Tom Ripley's attempts to hide his crimes.

"Rebel Moon – Part Two: The Scargiver" is the second part of the movie I reviewed a few months ago. The two parts should have been one shorter movie, which would have improved the pacing. "Part One" feels like the first two acts of a storyline. "Part Two" is Act 3, except this third act is almost as long as the other two combined. It was certainly action-packed and exciting to watch, but I wanted more character development. There was surprisingly little for a combined runtime of more than four hours. Even if it's not intentional, the antagonist suffers a bit of a threefold death — impaled, beheaded and incinerated — which was kind of neat.
