I posted twice in this forum, but didn't introduce myself, so here I go.

Alias(es): call me Max.
Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina
Date of birth: 1993
Gender: Male
Occupation: Student
Interests: Conlanging, linguistics, philosophy (mostly about religion and politics), micronationalism (yay, I'm doubly weird [:D]), music (conmusic?)* are the more permanent ones. Besides that, I usually have many other varied interests that don't last too much.
Favorite music: I listen to many different kinds of music, like metal, trance, military marches, experimental music, classical music, traditional music from different parts of the world (russian, arabic and peruvian music are my favorites)...
Political ideology: Anarchist, I think. I don't have a clear position on exclusive property, I believe it is one of those things that in theory don't make sense, however seem to work pretty fine. So I don't know exactly which type of anarchist I am.
Conlangs: The more complete ones are Ruvaxil (it sounds like a drug, doesn't it?) and Denirosta. But they are still quite incomplete, and I left them long ago [:S]. Then I had many conlang projects but they never last too much. I consider myself bad at conlanging, so I'm here to watch and learn. I just started a project of a verbless language.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? Hopefully, either working as a composer here in the city, or living a simple life in the countryside.

*I like to explore with music, and a couple of times I tried to create my own unique music genres. Actually, my first conlangs were specifically made to be sung with this music.

I describe myself as a person who wants to do everything, and can't advance in anything. But I'm happy with that.

Well that's definately familiar ground. :p

Hello. I had an account on the old cbb but I hadn't used it in quite a time. I'm coming back here, I guess.

Location: France
Date of birth:1984
Occupation: writer and musician in training (bum)
Interests: food, linguistics, alcohol, animal (and plant) biology, string instruments (especially plucked ones), abstract strategy games, Minecraft (infinite box of infinite lego, weeeee), webcomics and mangas (less so these days, but still pretty persistent), Magic: The Gathering, litterature, movies.
Favorite music: Jazz (Duke Ellington, Django Reinhardt, Count Basie, Lionel Hampton, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Wes Montgomery, Dizzy Gillespie, Charlie Parker, The Jazz Messengers, Ray Charles), Classical (Bach, Handel, Mozart, Beethoven, Wagner, Mahler, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, Rimsky-Korsakov, Mussorgsky, Rachmaninoff, Fauré, Stravinsky, Ligeti), Latin-American music (especially Bossa Nova), and various traditional stuff.
Political ideology: social conservatism, economical left, degrowth, monarchism, theocracy, respect of basic rights (rule of law, habeas corpus, freedom of speech…)
Conlangs: various contributions to the Akana collaborative conworld, Carinthian (an unfinished central European Romlang), currently working on a Northern Asiatic flavoured a priori language spoken in Neolithic Mongolia.
Other hobbies: ranting about the imprecise overuse of the notions of "subject" and "object" in language descriptions.

I speak French like a native and English like a Quebecker Ojibwe.

I don't think that's what anarchists do; I think they say "property is robbery" and stuff like that.
'Course, since they all try to talk at once, it's not always easy to be certain and precise about who was saying what.

I'm well aware of that: I'm an anarchist myself, and was exploiting the popular perception that anarchists are bloodthirsty murderers in order to make a joke.

By the way, not all anarchists are against the notion of private property: Some of us (like myself) believe anarchism is private property taken to its logical conclusion.

I see; thanks.
On to the next important question; Why is your new avatar frowning?

Yeah but the mii system doesn't have a good "bleh; uninterested; unsatisfied" face, which is what I intended. The little frown was the closest thing available.

Location: Ohio, USA
Aliases: MikeCarlBassett, Michael K., Mike Manveru (Manveru is Michael in Quenya) on this forum, Mezzofanti, and sometimes I use my real name.

Location: Ohio, USA

Date of birth: July 4, 1985

Gender: Male

Occupation: college student, since 2004; I have BS in Business Administration and will earn an AAS in Technical Communications by the end of the year if all goes well. I used to work as a warehouse attendant and a fast food production worker.

Interests: well, conlanging, of course; learning to read natural languages because I’m not so interested in learning to speak them (Spanish, French, German, Mandarin, Russian, Japanese, others); constructed languages (Esperanto, toki pona, Lojban, Interlingua, Quenya); reading nonfiction (I don't like literature); science; history; psychology; music; foreign cultures

Favorite music: Whatever sounds good.

Political ideology: I’m still trying to figure it out.

Religion: I’m still trying to figure it out, but I was raised to be a conservative Baptist.

Conlangs: Ashtian (scrapped language of a sci fi race), Iranozo (currently in the brainstorming phase)

Other hobbies: wondering around on the Internet reading & watching interesting stuff; Toastmasters; walking; weight lifting; camping; church activities; church choir & orchestra (I sing bass and play trombone); volunteering at the hospital and in an advanced English class for speakers of other languages

Where do you see yourself in ten years? Not in a psych ward, jail, or homeless, I hope. I’ll probably still live in Ohio. I hope I’ll have a full time job in technical writing or grant writing.

Alias(es): Hey, you, the funny-looking bloke!
Location: Co. Durham.
Date of birth: 1986.
Gender: If you mean 'sex', male.
Occupation: Wage-slave, but aiming to go to university as a mature student next year.
Interests: History, linguistics, atheism, science-fiction, historical fiction, fiction generally, gaming.
Favorite music: That's a difficult one. I like rock, I like metal, I like the odd bit of country-and-western, the odd bit of classical, I liked drum 'n' bass back when it was still dirty (that's a statement of fact, not an attempt to be pretentious), I suppose I like anything that makes me feel good.
Political ideology: Another tricky one. I suppose I'd say I'm to the centre-of-left, but I'd shy away from calling myself an actual liberal on account of the baggage that the term carries. My newspaper is the Guardian, but it's a little too far to the left for my tastes at times. I believe that I could be described as a 'fiscal conservative', however.
Conlangs: Zidhgebzhail, a few other nebulous ideas that are beginning to accrete.
Other hobbies: Smoking, procrastination, sleep. In that order.
Where do you see yourself in ten years? My thirties [:'(] .

Alias(es):
-Lyra,from the best pony.
-TallaFerroXIV is from Conte Talla Ferro (Count Iron-Cutter) a legendary Almogaver commander of sorts; the 14 is from when I made it.

Location: Bangkok, Thailand (since 10 months)

Date of birth: 7th October '94

Gender: male

Occupation: student, cashier

Interests:
-My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (Aww yeahh!): watch a couple of episodes, was confused for a week, been loving it ever since.
-Conlanguing: I'm here, yeah?
-Gaming: mostly Total War games, Men of War and Team Fortress 2

Favorite music: pretty varied, goes from modern alternative and indie rock to oldies to electro and trance. I also listen to a bunch of brony fandom music, which really isn't a genre... more of a theme. Artists I like: MGMY, The Beatles, The Kooks, Peter Doherty, Nirvana, Red Hot Chilly Peppers, Antonia Font, Bob Marley, TheLivingTombstone, PinkieSwear, MandoPony, Radical Face, The Strokes, and many more...

Political ideology: Leftists Libertarian (very general, I know), but the political situation of the world is pretty hopeless, bearacracy is too full of crap to function efficently though cleaning it would need some very violent methos which isn't good anyways.

My political stance on Spanish Politics would be Leftist Federalist.

Conlangs: I have only a few and they are very nooby
1. Dunabar: very agglutantive and kitchen sinky
2. Lajran Hwoz Monaz: currently working on it.
3. WIP: gonna go all photosynthetic...

Other hobbies:
-Drawing
-Singing and playing in a band
-More Ponies....

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Either very poor or dead.

-Faljüdax: Sister language of Maxédri. Rather underdeveloped still, but the outlines are there.
Other hobbies: Composing (just a little), drawing, 3D-modeling.
