One of the reasons I conworld is because I like to make documents and papers and whatnot for countries within said world. A part of it is because I've always been fascinated by passports, visas, banknotes, coins, and the such and want excuses for them; another part is that they're potentially interesting exercises in conlang usage. So, the main reason for this thread is because I'm wondering if any of you have created travel documents and whatnot for any of your concountries... any specific peculiarities or whatnot are also topics of interest.

Isene passport.Not very pretty,but Isenes are less advanced than present-day Terrans.


As Isenians are a conculture in a conworld,their passports are quite different than ours.
Translation to English:Xâríu ěc şidran-Name and surname
Ařana dicârîi-Personal data(nationality,birthplace,place where Ajânti currently lives,birth date,gender(female)
Óramâd-A signature,oddly enough
Ďanaýârnes-Formalities(personal identification number,where the passport was issued,passport serial number)
Ajâth á dirěçúd-Countries visited(Ajânti has visited Tehar and Ramanád)
A picture of Ajânti should be instead of that white rectangle.

BTW,Is dobro(Ne dobro per depaje etc.) on Telemor passport a Slavic borrowing?Why the Telemor passport is not valid tor Glaagh Empire?Do plush toys live in Telemor?

Well, yeah, they may be less advanced, and it's a good concept (and a good start as well), but the black in the background... it just doesn't work. Also, normally, rubber stamps and whatnot are used to mark the countries visited rather than printing on the passport.

To answer your questions, though:

Passports are not sometimes valid for countries in which the government cannot reasonably ascertain the safety of persons travelling to that country (ex. Philippine passports normally are invalid for travel to Iraq and Somalia), to countries the one government does not recognize (ex. Iranian passports cannot be used to travel to Israel), and/or countries with whom no diplomatic relations are maintained. The Glaagh Empire falls under categories 1 and 3 for the Telèmor. Not like it really changes anything, though, as foreigners are banned from entering the Glaagh Empire.


Ne. I use pictures of my brother's one Mushu plush because I'm not photogenic in the slightest and I don't like my picture appearing on too many things that get spread throughout the Internet.
