I have scoured the board, and I can't find anything that would be a legit conlang thread equivalent to the "random conworld idea thread". If so, let me know if there is. Don't hesitate to lock this if I didn't come up with the idea for this thread if you are a mod.

Anyway, the title is exactly that.

I'll Start: Dancing Sign Language

Just to clarify, when I say "dancing" I don't mean vulgar club dancing, slow dances like the Waltz, anything involving more than one person or interpretive dancing like ballet. I generally mean flashmob step dancing or solo step dancing.

Got the idea when somebody said something along the lines of "I wish there was a silent language". The premise is: What if there was a creative way to "say" sign language alongside a creative way to write it (such as Tapissary)?

Aside from the explanations above, I have nothing else to say about DSL. I don't intend on developing it anytime soon.

Language of fireworks. While not the main medium of communication for said invented race, fireworks can be used to communicate over large distances very quickly (for example, on the field of battle the general launches a firework which signals the army to retreat, and all warriors, no matter how scattered among the opposing forces, will be able to see the signal and leave to fight another day). An extension of this for communication far beyond the visibility range of a normal firework (say, sending a message to a distant outpost) could be that settlements are built at regular intervals between two major destinations like two cities, and if a city sees a firework it sends an identical one of its own which is then seen by another settlement etc... until the signal reaches the other city. Such a language will depend on colour, shape, exposure time, and size of explosions to relay a message.

One of my species' throats are not in line with the pulmonary tract. This would mean no voiced consonants, no nasals and unvoiced consonants would be unconventional in nature.
I've been screwing around and dicovered that I can generate non-pulmonic version of many phones, so it may be possible to create such languages that other species could still understand and replicate.
That said, this species might not be able to replicate the languages spoken by others.
