A perhaps rather odd question

What can I say? It doesn't fit above, put it here. Also the location of board rules/info.

A perhaps rather odd question

Post by Arayaz »

I would like your conlangs' equivalent(s) of [lai], [la] and/or [lə] or any unstressed form of [l]+V, with romanization and phonetic transcription. This is just about phonology, not a translation of any sort.

This is for a song parody I'm writing, in case you needed some sort of explanation.

/łaj/ /ła/ /łɛ~ə/ /łʌ/
(as in a velarized /l/, not a lateral fricative)

Kankonian:

/lai/ -- lai /lai/
/la/ -- la /la/
/lə/ -- le /lɛ/ at the beginning or medially; la /la/ terminally

I guess for Omlueuet it could be:
lá [la:]
lë [lə]

On most phones, holding down a vowel character gives variants. Is ű not one of yours?

(I use the Brazilian Portuguese keyboard on my Chromebook and can type <ű> as ralt+shift+; u. While we're at it, ọ̄̉̈́ is ralt+shift+] ralt+/ ralt+/ ralt+j ralt+`.)
