Conversely, a language like Greek has these marvellous little particles that help
set up that kind of context. I refer to men...de .

:grc: Ancient Greek -
οἱ μὲν πρόεδροι, οἱ δὲ τύραννοι
/hɔ men ‘prɔ.e.drɔj // hɔ de ‘ty.r:ɒ.nɔj/

As soon as an Ancient Greek hears the "μὲν" involved, (s)he knows there's going to be "but on the other hand...", "but here's the punchline...".

It's not as subtle as the intonational cue that Micamo describes, but it was clever enought for the Greeks, and the Romans liked it, so they calqued it (not as well)
with ita...vero... in Latin.

:con: Pazmat:

Dicaredhcavo ugjagux, Torvbclavo* abqui ugjagux.
[great-leader-PL exist-3.PL, torvbcla-PL but-as.well exist-3.PL]

*: THis term for "tyrant/dictator" comes from Torvbcla Riyasca, an infamous tyrant and God-Emperor from Pazmat's early history who single-handedly threw the country in a socially backwards and deeply racist/misogynistic Dark Age. He committed suicide soon after learning that there was a group planning to assainiate him--in modern Pazmat, calling someone a "total Torv" is lang for calling them an excessively over-bearing control freak. In addition, the phrase "X just jumped like Torvbcla" is an idiom for when someone who acts all high and mighty and holier-than-thou quickly breaks down and reveals themselves to be a complete pussy when called out on their actions (referencing how Torvbcla killed himself by jumping from his palace)

:vie:
Mặt này có tổng thống, mặt khác có kẻ độc tài.
face MED COP president | face different COP person dictatorship

Nothing too special here, except the idiom is different- Vietnamese uses face/surface instead of hand.
