(Ah, realized I made a mistake: that was supposed to be It hya ka'e plio?, not It kya ka'e plio?[/b]. I imagine it doesn't make a difference?)

Perhaps I'm jumping the gun by trying to tease out morphosyntactic alignment before learning basic vocabulary.

In any case, I believe Dan (la) is "man", and Tree is likely Ti'f. Joiz is the present tense of "see" and Jouz is some kind of past tense. Jo'duz is perhaps a passive form "to be seen".

I feel La is some kind of determiner. I don't think it marks case as both Dan and Ti'f are accompanied by la.

lu and hya are a mystery.
